Found Deceased Australia - Gary Tweddle, 23, Blue Mountains NSW, 16 July 2013 - #3

Maybe my assumption about the gradient of the slope being similar to where I live, is off the mark but it doesn't look like it would be all that difficult to walk down and I don't recall the recovery team having too much trouble. Plenty of trees to grab hold of too and I think it would be ok...

Thanks Mayhem, that makes it easier. Would the most direct route to that spot be if one went off the end of West St into bush?

....might need to go back to my grandfather's day when the police harnessed his skills of a dowser...... excellent, he was, at finding missing people (and water for farmers) .......... such skills (or gifts) seem forgotten these days.

Wow, many undiscovered bodies! That suggests to me that the dogs are not equipped to do their job in the Blue Mountains or if they are equipped then they are not being employed on the searches....... please correct me if I'm wrong.

here's something about when an inquest can be held. http://www.armstronglegal.com.au/corporate-crime/coronial-inquests/when-can-an-inquest-be-held and "Can I ask for an inquest to be held? A relative (or person whom the Coroner determines has a sufficient interest) can request that an...

Hi there newcomer!! It is 10. 14pm Australian time, September 19th, 7 degrees C and clear in Leura, 100% full moon and , having just walked around outside I must say that it is easy to walk around in the moon's bright light and I can see way ahead of me into the bush, very illuminated...

Figtree, your experience would carry more weight than the theorizing of scientific moon pundits as far as I'm concerned .... because you were, in practice, experiencing how it was to function outside under the moon and close-ish to GT in time and space. I wonder though, whether you were...

I dunno, a super moon doesn't seem to mean too much, apart from affecting tides, in effect. I found a few wives-tales (& husband's tales) about it's effects on humans but nothing substantial, no greater effects of lunacy than normal moons eg apparent time that parasites hatch in humans and...

Found Deceased Australia - Gary Tweddle, 23, Blue Mountains NSW, 16 July 2013 - #3

Hi Humdinger There were mixed reports about Gary's shirt at the scene. One report said it was found near him, the other said it was tattered on him. The reporting of it as striped didn't match the earliest report of the shirt being red and light coloured check. Subsequent reports said it was...

A roaming dog is a possibility or a cat (jumping from a tree) hunting at night. There are bandicoots at night but they are little and so shy.

Sure isn't, I didn't know people kept them in the Mountains. Some consider their feathers bad luck, others good luck.

And this one said, to the effect, that he was heading UP a hill, so how did he end up down a hill? "He said something along the lines of he was lost in the bush and heading up a hill to a light," operation commander Mick Bostock...

Nothing was mentioned in MSM about any pathways. I think we were just wondering how he might have got to Sweet Dreams had he been driven or otherwise, to Sublime point Lookout carpark.

Anyone who DOES know the track well would know that it ends. Perhaps he knew where it ended and intended to climb up through the scrub to exit at around eg. West St. BUT if around there was the spot where he talked to colleagues and said he was 'lost in the bush but could see a main road', it...

"Stamper Join Date: Sep 2013 Posts: 14 If suicide is ruled out, and accidentally plunging off the cliff is ruled out (and I believe it can) that leaves one likely scenario. IMHO" Just wondering why you think accidentally plunging off the cliff can be ruled out Stamper?
