Good post - and the earlier one from Truthalways too. It is scary if her lawyers are in favour of MMs FB campaign to portray herself as a martyr. Mind you, if true that they support it, it would smack of a little bit of desperation. Up to now all we hear from the defence apprears to be"Molly is...

Actually that may be very good advice Kitty. I think some recent posters may have attempted to move the discussion away from sleuthing and more towards the custody battle which is done and dusted. I am not for one moment suggesting that this was done with an agenda in mind, but it did tend to...

My own feeling on this was that it was to lay down a marker for the defence in the event of a possible plea bargain. It was effectively saying if self defence is on the extreme left of a homicide spectrum and involuntary manslaughter is in the middle, then murder 2 is way to the right of centre...

Also sorry for your loss, however I dont think there is any suggestion that the child would be forced to give evidence if he was uncomfortable. I believe it was suggested he could be asked to testify - but he would be under no obligation to do so. I think the use of the words 'under duress' may...

Just to reiterate what I said earlier. I plan to respond to posts and posters that are thought provoking and ignore those that I feel are deliberately provocative. It is the best policy IMO.

Hi Dunfounded2. This is a brilliant piece of research on your part. I do have a question though. If the skull fractures were caused by "crushing blunt force trauma" would that not suggest the other side of Jasons head was against something - perhaps a wall or the floor - as the blow was...

Absolutely! That has always bothered me too. It was TM's almost horror that he would have to clear the blood away that I found shocking. It didn't strike me as the reaction of someone who was frantically trying to save a life. Very disturbing.

Excellent research on your part - well done. I am not a medical expert but I would have expected extensive injuries to the sternum if the person performing CPR found the patient unresponsive. Surely they would have pushed down harder and harder to get a response which would have almost certainly...

Absolutely KateB. Timely reminder for all of us. I was getting very tired of the 'tit for tat' postings which I felt were sometimes futile and juvenile. I had already made up my mind to only respond to posts which are thought provoking, informative AND courteous. I had resolved to studiously...

To be fair I think an American born and raised stepgrandfather probably would know more about the best bat to buy than an Limerick born and raised father (now if it were a rugby ball that would be a different matter!). However, the other odd thing is that Tom and Sharon changed plans and...

I do not agree that this thread is "being run by a certain group of Irish individuals under pseudonyms using it as a platform to ensure nothing but what they agree with is tolerated on social media." I am Irish. I dont belong to any group. My views are my own. All of the posters on this thread...

Hi. Many of your posts and responses to posts are quite useful and thought provoking. Could I just ask please when you are responding to quotes to use the 'Reply with quotes' option as it sometimes difficult to know which post you are responding to. The one above, for example, I have no idea...

I also dont believe there was a threat to Molly in the first place. I think it was an unprovoked assault. Re the retaliation angle though, many men - me included - would not punch their partner if attacked by them. My first instinct would be to protect my head from a blunt weapon. My second...

Wouldnt the images you suggest be consistent with a person being struck with a brick/ bat with their hands over their head with the backs of their hands facing outwards? Nothing I have seen in the autopsy or interpretations of the autopsy appears to be inconsistent with someone protecting their...

Not sure I quite agree. What was reported as said by Jasons family at the custody hearing must have been in response to some questions asked by the court. I dont think people can simply stand up and issue an unsolicted statement. They must have been asked specific questions and they gave...

It is always useful to challenge our thinking on this case and the posts from truthseeker and others have done this. Truthseekers first couple of posts did make me reflect somewhat on what I considered as likely or unlikely, and for that I am grateful. However, subsequent posts in response...

I would like to throw something else into the mix here. Lawyers dont like losing - it is bad for business. Tom and Molly have a lawyer each. Now lets assume the trial is in progress and the self defence angle is shot to hell, will Tom's lawyer look to hang Molly out to dry and vice versa? Now...

I think from all the responses to my question as to why we think Molly was the chief assailant it appears clear that her apparent volatility is the key. I think Molly had 'motive' in that she had a 'motive' for being enraged IMO. She feared losing everything. I find it hard to imagine TM...

I dont think Tom knew about the paving stone. It is interesting that notwithstanding the risk of us all unduly influencing each other there seems an overwhelming belief that Molly was the main protagonist in this crime and Tom played a supporting role. Why is that I wonder? Is it because of the...
