Found Deceased UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 *Arrests* #10

That’s an interesting point. If her body had been inside the bag the whole time, why would they have had such a hard time identifying her (ie. the use of dental records)? Surely as you say if her body was protected from the elements then there wouldn’t be advanced decomposition?

Found Deceased UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 *Arrests* #10

Found in a builders bag. How horrific and heartbreaking for her family that he just dumped her out there like a pile of old cement.

Sorry if this is too speculative, let me know if against the rules. But after hearing that ‘remains’ have been found (I.e. not a body), I wonder if WC burnt body, therefore potentially destroying physical evidence in the event that her remains were found. If body is in such a bad condition then...

I feel this misses the mark. Of course men deserve to feel safe in the streets as well, but they are FAR less likely to be the victim in this type of crime. Not every conversation has to include men - particularly when talking about crimes that disproportionately effect women. It dilutes the...

Can we just remember at the point that the allegation would have been made she was 13 years old and had not committed any crimes (as far as we know). She was a CHILD. I'm not 'guilt-tripping', it just feels uncomfortable to question the child she once was, and opens a can of worms in my opinion...

I don't think it helps anyone to question whether she was telling the truth about being raped at 13, even if she is a fantasist. We don't know the background to this so can we just take it at face value? There may have been a court case for all we know - the fact that she has 'waived her right...

So does this mean that she has admitted to him that she was involved? Sorry for being dim, very confusing to me!

I didn't realise that was the case - in cases where the defendant HAS been innocent and has maintained their innocence throughout, did their barrister have to concede their guilt even when their client is still claiming to be totally innocent?

I think it's rather inconvenient actually, she should've shown some emotion during the victim impact statements because the fact that she didn't and is only crying now, for herself, has made me lose any sympathy I may have had for her previously.

This is what I don't understand. Why is his stance not 'she is an innocent woman!' if she has not yet admitted any guilt whatsoever?

Apparently it was taken by some friends during his army days - laddy stuff. The way the DM have put it into the article though, they're trying to imply it is 'proof' of his sexual deviance :shame:

I know exactly what you're saying. Even in couples who are very together, when their child is murdered more often than not the resulting fallout ('you should've been there to protect them!' type thing) can lead to their break up. It would take a bigger person than me to not feel some resentment...

Not to dilute his words, and I understand why he said it ... but I hate it when people describe depraved, evil human beings as 'animals'. It's an insult to animals, who in my opinion are for the most part innocent creatures who live by instinct, not malice or a premeditated desire to inflict...

You know what, I really hope this is the case, because otherwise I don't understand how the jury was able to come to those conclusions for SH - not beyond reasonable doubt.

Big discrepancy there from JI story!! If he's lying about this then it damages his credibility re: 'seeing the man and the woman arguing'

I don't think that's what NM told KD. I think that's what KD told JI so he didn't suspect - or expect (payment) - anything

I'm not sure which way I'm leaning right now. Taken individually I think her explanations are believable but the more they stack on top of one another the more improbable it becomes, and the more likely that she is lying about SOMETHING at least. I'm just not sure what that is, if anything. I...

I honestly don't know yet and I don't think it's possible to make that call until we've heard what she has to say, along with the prosecution's cross-examination of her.

Again, 'condemn' not directed at you specifically - I have by no means made my mind up about her either, but I think collectively this thread (not individuals) is reading very anti-Shauna. I think I have a tendency to play devil's advocate anyway - when I see someone being almost universally...
