Found Safe TN - Mary Catherine Elizabeth Thomas, 15, Maury County, 13 March 2017 #3

I'm not surprised by this. I am from the South after all. I live in a big "Southern" city these days but that's not where my roots are planted. Maybe that was a large part of the motivation behind the teen marriage search. Yep, I realize his current wife would need to no longer be his...

This, I agree with. This, I'm not sure, for a few reasons. ET has had a tough upbringing. ET had only just recently entered public schooling...social interaction outside of family and (fundamentalist Christian) church is still new to her. ET is very hormonal--read through her Instagram and...

Found Safe TN - Mary Catherine Elizabeth Thomas, 15, Maury County, 13 March 2017 #3

I really feel like he got to a "nothing left to lose" standpoint. I suspect his home life fell apart with the investigation and then the suspension. His wife could not have just been ok with what happened, I would think, and his large family (multiple children and 5 grandchildren) probably was...

If they DO make it to Mexico, would Mexico capture them and send them back if they found them? They did with affluenza teen when he and mom fled there, but is that the norm? If not, anyone else thinking that if they DO make it to Mexico, they'll pop back up on Social Media?

So, what triggered someone reporting her missing at 12:41pm, especially since she explicitly gave her sister the timeframe of 6pm.

(I read plenty of cases on Websleuths, but don't post much, so this is my first time weighing in on this one. So, hi!) This has probably been discussed and I missed it, but, if Elizabeth told her sister to call the police if she wasn't home by 6pm, what triggered her family, friend, whomever...

VICTIM - Mickey Shunick, 21, of Lafayette, LA (Theories)

chicken fried, I can't speculate too much on time frame other than to say I think they might be wrong about when the bike was dropped at Whiskey Bay. You are very right to point out that the timeline was tight. Whatever happened to Mickey, I don't think it happened in just a 30/40 minute time...

Right, I'm not saying I'm hoping the second murder charge would make BSL talk. I'm saying Mr. Shunick is. Someone had misinterpreted his statement, and I clarified it for them. I don't think anything is going to make BSL talk, unless he has a respect for his family that we don't know about...

I think he's saying that he's hoping the second murder charge (for Lisa Pate) will cause BSL to reveal where he put Mickey, since he might feel like, "Well they've got me now..."

Just thought I'd note that in 1994, the driving age was still 15. So maybe he got his freedom via a drivers license, and he used it for evil?

I sign off for 3 hours and come back to quite a bombshell! Wow! There have to be more. While this is a horrific situation, the GJ indictment makes me feel hopeful. He's off the streets. A family is going to get closure after 13 years. And there are probably many other victims and families...

I can agree with you that BSL may have done "this" (something similar) before. I'm not sure he targeted a petite blonde. I think there weren't many unattended females out when he was trolling. Had it been a brown haired girl who'd ridden by, I think he'd have taken her too.

Good point. Handgrips float, obviously. Bike frames do not. Having been submerged in water 6/7 days, what are the likelihood the grips would have popped off, just from being in the water?

I agree. And he didn't report the truck stolen/burn it until LE released those pictures saying they were looking for it. As time goes on, I'm thinking more and more that Mickey was disposed of before the bike was dropped at Whiskey Bay, and that the bike being dropped at WB was a reaction to...

BBM. I'm glad you brought this up. LE has stated since they found the bike that they believe it was dumped the morning she went missing. However, removing the hand grips and dumping the bike after the bike was described in the media is much more in keeping with BSL's other actions. The...

I'm 99% sure he did not receive a referral from Ochsner to Opelousas General. #1: It is said got into OG via the ER. (http://www.theind.com/news/10949-lavergnes-lacerated-finger-poison-ivy-treated-at-opelousas-general). If you are referred, you are not triaged through the ER #2: To...

BBM. The fact that he drove all the way to NOLA with stab wounds and, probably, a finger almost cut off just floors me. That he could walk out of that ER without being properly treated, but hurt enough that he needed to seek treatment again later? Unbelievable. That he could sleep with...

I think he left before they treated the finger. Edited: Removed my previous statement about JPSO not mentioning a stab wound/laceration to the finger. I stand corrected. The JPSO report does mention stabbing to the hand. I'm back to my original conclusion. He left before being treated for...

    LA - ***ARREST*** Mickey Shunick, 21, Lafayette, 19 May 2012 #36

I think he was fully injured by the time he showed up at Ochsner. I think he left Ochsner, however, before being fully treated, due to the cops getting a bit suspicious of his story. Going to NOLA was all about establishing some sort of alibi--whether believable or not, that's not the...

    LA - ***ARREST*** Mickey Shunick, 21, Lafayette, 19 May 2012 #36

It says he was treated "for his May 19th injuries," not that he was treated on May 19th. I couldn't find the day he was actually treated at Opelousas, did I miss it? He could have sought treatment at Opelousas a day later, or a week later, and he'd still have to explain where he got the...
