Found Deceased IN - Abigail (Abby) Williams, 13, and Liberty (Libby) German, 14/The Delphi Murders 13 Feb 2017 #88

I would speculate that the reason the press conference was announced ahead of time like this is because they have an angle that they need more tips and information on. As in, the investigation may have been narrowed to family DNA, and now they need lots of press and coverage to get that info to...

    GA - Tara Grinstead, 29, Ocilla, 22 Oct 2005 #2 *Arrests*

I've only heard the first 7 or so podcasts, plus seen what news stories are out there, but I'd wonder if the glove didn't arrive post-murder. As in, the murder occurs as the result of burglary or something, then the culprit pauses to hatch a plan to dispose of the body. Later, under cover of...

CONVICTION OVERTURNED MD - Hae Min Lee, 17, Baltimore, 13 Jan 1999

I'm not completely up on all Hae's movements during that afternoon, but it seems that she was going from her school, to pick up her cousin, with limited time to be distracted away from this appointment. The most likely distraction I can imagine would fall in line with giving a ride to a trusted...

CONVICTION OVERTURNED MD - Hae Min Lee, 17, Baltimore, 13 Jan 1999

Thanks, that's the kind of thing I was searching for. A place where people discuss what actually is known to have happened. More facts, less emotion.

CONVICTION OVERTURNED MD - Hae Min Lee, 17, Baltimore, 13 Jan 1999

My wife played these podcasts, but I missed the first one, where the evidence was laid out. I picked more of it up, but am having a hard time finding a clear recounting of the crime and arrest. Google is so dominated by the "Serial" podcast, the appeal, the new trial.... I found the links on...

    TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers,45, murdered in church/person in SWAT gear,18 Apr 2016 #21

Seems (to me) like just basic wise policy. Its simply an unknown. Why take any risk or step into the unknown if you don't have to? They want to control the flow of info and knowledge as much as possible if there may be a benefit to the investigation. Never give away an advantage. Plus, there...

    TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers,45, murdered in church/person in SWAT gear,18 Apr 2016 #20

Yes. Too me, the car pic is only indicative that the police have been out gathering all the video they can, from anywhere in the area at the time of the crime. At that time on a wet night, not much is moving. Anyone that was out for any reason might have seen something, and not realize its...

As a man, I can say I have know idea how to tell the difference between the two.

I noticed this post on the previous thread regarding all the police vehicles on the road (Mt Zion?) with the empty houses: "Would love to have someone who's in LE or former LE hop on here and comment with their theory about what they might have been up to." I'm a (fairly) recently retired...

Hey, don't twist us up like a wet sheet in a pig sty! Or; are we missing some news?

I think you're on the right road here. When there are a lack of leads, motives, etc it is helpful to keep the investigation in the public eye to keep the tips coming in, and people talking. If you've got something solid, and have a very narrow focus, that kind of public appeal isn't going to...

    TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers,45, murdered in church/person in SWAT gear,18 Apr 2016 #18

I don't really watch TV news, and haven't kept up with the local outlets covering the story, but have a couple ideas on the subject. Since Midlothian is a little ways out of the DFW hub-bub, it could be that reporters haven't been hanging around outside the police station day and night to catch...

Ah, good info. This shows that everyone involved is crushing and concentrating as much work as they can in the most time-effective and cost effective ways possible. I still discount (I guess) how much you can accomplish via skype or video conferencing. Probably are people in the DFW area with...

    TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers,45, murdered in church/person in SWAT gear,18 Apr 2016 #18

Its probably no big thing, really. It may have worked something like this: Midlothian puts a feeler out to NYPD. NYPD has a handful of these guys that are old hands at this, and one agrees to come in on his day off to work the "extra job" for Midlothian. Midlothian flys a guy to NY, and NYPD...

    TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers,45, murdered in church/person in SWAT gear,18 Apr 2016 #18

The detectives have got to be very queasy about these coincidences. The probabilities/odds of these things lining up have to ring alarm bells. As in: How often is a husband out of town when wife is murdered? The Facebook timing Men this age Facebooking on vacation (IDK, maybe phones do it now...

    TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers,45, murdered in church/person in SWAT gear,18 Apr 2016 #18

If suspect put as much effort into planning to avoid detection as the SWAT outfit suggests, you'd think so. Still, there is a streak of dumbness that runs through all criminals of all types -- to believe that committing such a crime is worth the risk it entails. Then, there are other...

I used to occasionally assist the US Marshalls fugitive unit, and was quite impressed with the info they had available from cell towers. I don't know alot about how it works, and think its probably best that way. It is widely known, though, that a cell phone is constantly looking for service...

Agree. When I watch the video of the suspect, there is no hint of "command presence" that I'd expect in someone with any military training, but that's just my opinion. However, when it came down to it, the suspect was capable of some forceful behavior.

That's the truth. Doesn't look like this person has ever been exposed to any tactics or experience in that area. Also, if I understood the diagrams of the church that have been posted, it appears the suspect broke several exterior windows, is that correct? If that is an attempt to disguise this...
