Unless the pictures were of the exact field where he was found they mean very little.
Different harvesting philosophies leave different heights of “stubble” behind.
Corn grows high on the stalk, I’d guess terrain also plays a role in how high the farmer sets the machine when harvesting corn...
I disagree. I think it is very likely he was there, obscured by what was left from the corn stalks after harvest.
Once a corn filed is harvested, it would unusual for anyone to be in that area until time to prepare for spring planting. The exception might be if a hunter was in the area.
A harvested corn field is not bare ground. There can be enough remnants of the corn stalk to make it harder to see a body. It's also possible he may have used some of the remaining vegetation after harvest to cover himself.
As time goes on, the remaining portions of the corn stalk may begin to...
It may have been a popular time for college students returning from bars to place an order.
There may not have been many drivers working that night.
The driver was a female and has been investigated and cleared (you should find references to this in this thread).
I have to agree that it was probably right to close the case. Despite the suspicions from earlier in the case this looks to be an accident.
The car was found where it would have been easy to drive off the road, but hard to stage an accident IMO.
Dec 23, 1974 roughly high of 76ºF and a low of 65º.
Avon was sold by many agents from their homes, a mostly part time job for mostly women to earn a little extra money.
There are a lot of variables in peak fishing time.
During some parts of the year 4 AM may be great fishing, other times not so much.
When I lived in Atlanta, it was a big deal and the weather forecasts charted the peak times to fish daily.
I believe the father said he had later morning classes...
If something happened at the house or for that matter anywhere that involved the first wife, why would she put herself at the house that day when it appears no one else mentioned her being there that I am aware of? This email about see Rachel at the house kind of makes me think the ex was not...
There is a separate issue in play, besides the "18 year is an adult" rule.
That is the age on consent. In Georgia you have to be 16 to give consent to have sex. I believe he was 17 and she was 16. That means, though still minors, no law was broken if they had sex.
If you look around any auto repair shop you will cars that have been there forever. The owners essentially abandon them rather than pay for the repairs. Some may abandon the car (in exchange for waiving the tow bill) before any work is started. Others won’t pay once the work is done. A shop can...
The "homebody" remark might mean he just hung around the apartment rather than socializing when he wasn't out fishing and active.
I think it's also been confirmed it was a small "adult" dog, not a new puppy.
I'm thinking this may have been an example of over charging. It's harder to prove felony murder. Manslaughter would have been easier to prove. I'm not familiar with the Georgia legal intricacies and why a jury could not select the lesser charge.
Jason did not have to be gay for the crime to be possibly sexually motivated. Most women that are a victim of a sexual are not interested in the person that attacks them (often quite the opposite, the attacker is rebuffed previously).
As for the neighborhood - I would think the amount of...
Witness protection is a whole different thing than getting a name change.
If someone entered witness protection, which always seems to get mentioned in missing person cases, there would have been obvious events leading up to that. And I suspect the agencies involved would quash the missing...
