Glad they were rescued, so happy they can be reunited with family. Being in a foreign country can be scary enough as you try to adapt to local customs; being kidnapped from so far away from home is outright traumatizing.

I wondered this, but unfortunately I don't have a point of reference because my son is speech delayed and he is 3.5 years old. He is just now starting to string words together. Girls are, on average, much quicker to pick up speech than boys are, so it's possible she had a very large vocabulary...

You're making me jealous. My 3 year old's favorite words are "No" and "Stop it". He acts like I don't even exist unless he needs something. Oh, and he doesn't snuggle. He does give me hugs and kisses, though. Sometimes.
