I think that sadly you are right. Why do you think though they recently increased the reward to $25,000?

Exactly my impression! I've been saying it's a walk down memory lane from baby pictures, trips, volleyball, prom, singing to celebrating Berkeley. There's more postings today of her music. A lot of sharing of personal events for a family that wants to protect their privacy. The focus doesn't...

That was my point, the backpack is a solid piece of evidence she left behind so anything about it I'd like to know even if it ends up being meaningless.

And adding to your pieces: references to depression in her writings and songs, a concussion ,dropping out of school, staying in a hotel at least the night before, and her backpack being found by the bridge. Plus I'm sure after taking a gap year there was added pressure to make this school year work.

I know! It's not logical what they're claiming and the fact that the police have not jumped on board is telling. If they really thought abduction, why aren't they screaming and pleading for her to be let go.

Exactly! It's seems like a half effort, like not really going all out because maybe they really believe otherwise, that she probably did harm herself.

The family has said not suicide, not running away but instead foul play like being abducted. If so why isn't the police more involved and why aren't they and the PI doing interviews and pleading for help?

I think it's more about awareness than raising money

The family has said in the past that they're conflicted asking for donations as they are capable of taking care of most of the expenses themselves. In one posting the father asked how people honestly would feel if he charged $5 for each download of Sydney songs because so many people have asked...

To clarify, the parents did identify Syd on bridge but because so foggy couldn't tell who/what was around her. Other cameras per mother are useless for same reason.

And her parents said upon reviewing the bridge footage they could barely make out who was around since it was just so foggy. They said the other cameras too were useless because of the thick fog.

Thank you for sharing your valuable experience. I'd like to know if the backpack was found, there seems to be some confusion about that and to me that would be very telling. Her father's description of what he viewed on the video does not include the backpack but yet he talks about it's the way...

So sad doesn't feel like there's any leads or much happening. Hoping Syd is found soon.

My thoughts exactly. It's heartbreaking no matter the circumstances. Sid has such a large, loving support group of family and friends, more than most. It seems with almost four months gone by now that she would have reached out to someone just letting people know that she is safe, even if not...

Found Deceased CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, did not return from bike ride, Chaffee County, 10 May 2020 #33

I believe Suzanne's father remarried a long time ago and she passed away a few years ago. She would have been Suzanne's stepmother.
