Well I think you raise interesting questions, and again, I've never practiced any form of international law and really don't know much about how EU courts work. It does seem that you've raised the inference that parties in interest can just forum shop different countries in Europe every time...
Well I don't know much about EU law but I highly doubt they actually have grounds if they've already sued her civilly in Italy and lost, which they did during the criminal trial.
I read that they might be trying to prevent Knox from profiting from telling her story which, being that she was...
Any lawyer can tell you that a civil suit would be completely meaningless. A United States court wouldn't even have jurisdiction and neither would a British Court.
It statements like this that show you don't view anything critically. You seem to think that police would own up to beating someone if asked about it in court, because to do otherwise would "presume that justice is corrupt" (whatever on earth that means). Except you disregard the fact that its...
That is about the most idealistic and rose colored view of things I think I've ever heard. If he was mistreated, it would be Patrick's word against the police. Ya, see how that works out.<modsnip>
Barbie Nadeau and Andrea have not studied journalism either. Andrea's degree is in political science from University of Idaho. Frank has written for Italian publications including Gente----he also has a PHD in philosophy.
Well I don't watch Fox News, but you clearly aren't reading other people's posts regarding Andrea's reporting. If she just reports the facts, why does she still mention mixed bloods? If she just reports the facts, why does she perpetuate the myth that mixed DNA of two people who lived in the...
Being found guilty and being guilty are two different things. If she's presuming guilt, than she's editorializing and not simply reporting the facts (and when she reports the facts, i.e., mixed blood, she's clearly wrong).
With respect to your other question, I've stated some of my reasons...
If you know what presumption she is coming from, then you're admitting she's editorializing and not doing "fair and balanced" reporting.
A report is allowed to editorialize, even if sloppily done like Andrea Vogt. But then let's not also pretend she's somehow objectively reporting at the...
I would not protest the inference you've made that Vogt's reporting is emblematic in an epidemic of sloppy and stupid journalism that exists in crime cases the world over :).
It would be one thing if Andrea Vogt was simply biased, but it goes beyond that. The biggest example is the "mixed blood" line she has oft repeated, which is falsehood perpetuated her and Barbie Nadeau for god knows how long. In the Australian documentary, Andrea starts spouting off how how...
Thing is, Andrea Vogt hasn't presented fair and balanced reporting. As for "the Ground Report guy" at least he admits his bias rather than feign some sort of false objectivity.
