If I lived in the vicinity, I would be worried, no matter what LE has said. I'd figure that unless they could back up their statements with a reason other than statistics (both missing child stats, local crime stats over time, attack frequency of child predators), that my family would be better...
I would like LE to find Kyron and to find out who took him.
But I hope it is not one of the 4 parents. That would be the worst outcome, IMO.
I don't think it is going to far afield to wonder if someone took him who saw him (store, library, worker who came to the house or school), found out...
Besides being a stress reliever, I think she probably has a lot of friends at the gym since she goes there quite a bit. If so, these friends could very well be a big part of her support system.
Maybe "hitting the gym" was a shout out to her gym friends that she would be there, so they would go...
I've wondered before what would happen if I was being investigated for a crime. If LE took my computer and found out all the research I've done, just from participating on WS and wanting to find out more about something ... well, it wouldn't look pretty.
It's the same here at WS. When I see a post, the time on it is EDT (Eastern Daylight Time), no matter where the poster is from.
I posted this at 10:34 p.m.
If he is found on or near school grounds, I think it must have been due to an accident or a stranger.
I just don't see SM being the perp in that circumstance, because it seems to me that she would move away from the school.
Just about everyone knows there are degrees of homicide. So if a person "accidentally" kills a child, they would reasonably fear going to prison, and all that scenario entails.
I would be horrified and fearful if that happened to me, but I would not hide the body. That has never happened to...
Not only that, but while they are hoping he is alive, they are worrying about what is happening to him. I would be tortured by thoughts of my child being hurt and me being helpless to stop it.
It would be very difficult for LE to be able to get a warrant to do that, according to a criminal defense lawyer I called. That is a complicated issue, so I gave up trying to research it for you -- it would take way too much time.
If you Google "Title 3 Intercept Surveillance Warrant", you can...
Same here, growing up.
But nowadays, it is quite unusual for kids from middle class families not to be booked up for the summer: lessons (dancing, guitar, karate, and so forth), camp (day & sleep away), YMCA activities, sports.
One point I don't recall anyone here making was made by one of the women on the show:
She said she bets that if anyone looked at SM's summer schedule, there are no plans in it for Kyron. No Y activities, no camps, and so forth. No plans, because SM knew it wasn't necessary. In her opinion.
I have wondered, during the years I lurked and the years I have been a member here, what would happen to me if my child went missing and the case was discussed here. I would be factually innocent, of course.
I came to the conclusion that I would have to come here for help and ideas if there...
I think so too. In a case of a missing child, the last known person to have seen them is not always the last person to have seen the child alive.
The last person to have seen the child alive is either the person who has the child in his possession, or the person who killed the child.
We are picking apart limited facts and reading quite a bit into each one.
All 4 parents are waiting to find out what happened to Kyron. The stress must be unimaginable. Only they know what they are doing to pass the time besides helping LE by cooperating with them.
Those of us who...
We may not know all of what her friend conveyed either, due to editing.
The veracity of the story depends upon the diligence and integrity of the reporter and editor.
I used to work out regularly, for about 3 hours a day (before I had kids). I enjoyed it and it really helped me not feel depressed (because I didn't have kids) and it also helped me deal with stress and anxiety.
So the fact that SM is working out at this horrible time doesn't bother me like it...
