Susan should be in Kenya playing with the orphans with me, instead of with the angels. For those who walk to her place south of Aberfeldy, use tick prevention! Hippy hippy, Adam... anybody else, look out. I'm recovering after weeks of Lyme disease.
hippy hippy updated me on the next round of Police Scotland incompetence. "Anyway, police Scotland is dealing with a whole new scandal as of today. An 88year old lady with dementia went missing three days ago from her home in Glasgow area and a missing person alert was put out, police asked for...
The label was face-down, so until Susan's family tells us, we won't know. The police were unwilling to tell me anything unless they'd told equivet first and cleared it with him. equivet said a few weeks back that he didn't know what it was. Not sure why he hasn't asked Police Scotland.
I'm confused. Can anyone sort out whether Denise was first dragged and buried 100 meters or carried for 2 hours from the place she was killed? Or was this the first and the second burial? And earlier we heard about a wheelbarrow being used, no?
And regarding cutting her neck, unless he totally...
I've been doing some research related to hypothermia. Normal body temp is 37.5 degrees C.
"One method of estimating the time of death is to measure body temperature. The normal equation for this is:
37.5oC - 1.5 oC
This formula equates to the body temperature (37.5oC), which loses 1.5 oC per...
I'm hoping to hear how hippy hippy is doing. I'm doing pretty well. I'll be in Kenya and will miss both of Susan's celebrations of life, Oct 10 in MA and 17 in PA. I had a very meaningful memorial service with friends at Susan's site before I left Scotland. L/L
Some have asked me why Susan wasn't found by the police. She was 25-30 feet into the forest from the trails on either side of her. This is a pic (taken 2 weeks after she was found) of the various flowers and memorials placed where we found Susan in the very center of the pic. Some branches were...
ZaZara---
Thank you so much for staying on this case and especially for all the translations. We'd know nothing without you.
Now, how do we go about posting notices along the caminos to warn that troubles DO exist, and to travel in pairs or more? I don't enough about the caminos--not even where...
So...could the police not have used the equivalent of our search warrant to search his property months ago? He was such a person of interest, being watched (though he managed to leave anyway), known to have US$ whose serial numbers matched Denise's money... Why did it take SO long for the...
Seems so speedy that they'd have removed her remains after barely an hour! In the Susan McLean case, which was quite apparently suicide, they left the body in place for 25 hours while documenting everything at the location in case there may have been foul play.
This is so sad. Just today I sat down to read pages of this thread. I was making notes, learning, getting up to date, ready to get involved. So sad. RIP, Denise.
Many of you have asked about hippy hippy, as have I. She sent an email today, and she's doing fine, busy with company from out of the area. Sounding very well.
Open letter to all my WS friends:
Thanks so much for your help and encouragement in the search for Susan. We all pretty much assumed she was not abducted and hadn't walked away from her family, though I secretly had a bit of hope for either of those.
We're now at a difficult point. I'm so sorry...
Cause of death "unascertained": http://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/local/perth-kinross/us-tourist-susan-mclean-s-cause-of-death-remains-unascertained-after-post-mortem-1.896613
hh, you've been flying under the radar. Are you OK? I stood on the shoulders of your amazing work, could never have found Susan without you. I miss you.
Here is a note from Susan's niece, who doesn't have permission to post yet:
"I would like to thank all of you that took so much of your time to help in resolving this wretched mystery. I am eternally grateful for those of you who came out and helped to close this door. In keeping with all of the...
The article says: "Shattered Lorna said of Susan, who is believed to have taken her own life: “She was closer than a sister to me. I could not stay in the US and not know what happened to her. I will miss her so much.”"
The Sun is postulating on cause of death, not me.
ABarbie has been above reproach! I've actually enjoyed working with her and the photographers she sends. Respectful, considerate, cooperative, understanding. Even on her summer vacation/holiday, she's available to continue coverage of Susan's case. I can't say enough good things about her.
