Interesting I had not picked up on that. It would fit with the parents appeal.

You may have missed it, but someone was quoted as saying that the CCTV was useless when the lights were on (floodlights that light up the bridge at night). Once they were switched off (at midnight) apparently the CCTV worked perfectly well.

It was VT's sister, it was report as a direct quote in the Daily Mail amongst other papers. I can think of no reason why a paper would attribute a direct quote to someone that they had made up, unless they really wanted to pay out large amounts of money in compensation.

There is nothing to indicate rage played a part in this. VT's sister has said that it was not TM and that she believes he did not do it. That's good enough for me. The papers were just getting bored and so decided to add 2 and 2 and get 52 like they have all the way through the...

I believe that it said on his CV that he spoke a very high standard of English (can't check as it was taken down). The interpreter will have been there for the very reason you describe. The fact that the Daily Mail highlighted it was as you suggest pandering to the xenophobic nature of their...

I guess we won't know until there is a trial.

The first part of your post sounds like the back cover of a murder mystery novel.

Check out the Daily Mail article I linked to earlier it seems TM is considered very much part of the family and is supporting him. Totally agree on the EW thing I posted a similar opinion earlier this morning.

I note at the end of that article that although they mention CJ's arrest, they are no longer stating that "he remains a suspect" in the way that they were doing on just about every article since his release on bail. Looks like the media are finally softening their position on CJ.

No I know you didn't I was just thinking out loud and saying that it would be way too early. Sorry for the confusions :innocent: I was just quoting you to keep the thread of the conversation.

A good point and possible, but far more likely that TM drove and stayed overnight so that she could drink at party. Malmesbury appears to be a PITA to get to on public transport so I would say it would be a lot easier to drive.

In fact thinking about it, a trial date would not be set until his plea was heard, so it was definitely not that.

Yesterday Tabak's sister, Dr Cora Tabak - a senior scientific adviser to the Dutch government - insisted that the suspect's girlfriend Tanja Morson did not phone phone police and that she is standing by him. Dr Tabak told The Sun: 'Tanja is upset and shocked. Rumours they have seperated are not...

The only problem I have with the "woman in tears" being EW is that she is in Chile, would she really be on top of current affairs in the UK whilst travelling ?

The date next week will be to enter a plea. April 27th sounds way too early for a trial.

EW's father was quoted as saying that she had gone to Chile after Christmas. EW and TM were ex colleagues and friends there is an implied friendship with VT via his relationship with TM but this has not been confirmed so I am not sure whether she is involved in this in any way. It is not...

The is nothing unusual about that. See my very first post. "The prosecution will need to prove that NUA was not the only line of investigation. Therefore the Police will need to clear up all loose ends to completely confirm that he was not involved before they drop things. Often they will...
