GA - Suspicion over heat death of Cooper, 22 mo., Cobb County, June 2014, #13

Yes, this is the point some have raised about what is or isn't a routine. To me that is a moot point, it doesn't need to have been a 'fixed' calendar appointment on 'fixed' days of the month in that it was always the 3rd and the 18th. 2-3 times a month, as opposed to 2-3 times a year say, still...

So what do we do? Give up? Tell ourselves "Well, he's gonna get off anyway so why bother prosecuting at all?" NO. I applaud the prosecution in this case for NOT going the usual route of suspecting foul play but thinking it's too hard to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. If nothing else it might...

I guess we'll all just have to wait until the trial unless the cops release their own reconstruction prior to that.

    CAR SEAT discussion

It doesn't matter to me if the carseat protruded between the seats, I can look at the photos of the various reconstructions and it's clear to me that that type of carseat (allowing for the minor differences in models) in that type of car (allowing for the minor differences in models) is very...

    CAR SEAT discussion

I dunno, I'm having trouble with this. All that RH's sexting activity indicates to me is that he's a sleazy, philandering cheat and it's largely irrelevant to the case except in that he may be proved to have allowed himself to be distracted (and therefore in dereliction of his duty) while acting...

Premeditation/intent do not have to be proved at all and that's perfectly ok by me. That said it is nice for the Prosecution to have all these layers upon layers of 'malice aforethought' words and actions to add weight to their case.

    CAR SEAT discussion

In all fairness we don't have a bathroom thread, and maybe we should, but we DO have a car seat thread. I have to agree with the OP it does get very irritating to read numerous posts saying the same thing over and over and over again especially since we already went down this road several days...

RSBM. Me too. Thank you for saying what I would have said 5 pages ago had I been able to post from work!

I totally agree. We should not give women - or indeed anyone - a pass who claim as a defense that they were following the dictates of their religion, when the dictates of a religion clash with the dictates of the LAW then the law takes precedence. Submissive to God's will re men wearing the...

GA - Suspicion over heat death of Cooper, 22 mo., Cobb County, June 2014, #12

Regardless if the sexting distracted him so much he 'forgot' Cooper was there (and totally ignoring all the evidence which suggests premeditation which they DON'T have to prove) it's still criminal negligence that led to a death ie NOT an unfortunate accident. He was the primary caregiver and...

Even on a month to month lease she'd still have to pay the rent and have given notice that she was going to vacate. I think she's gone on her attorney's advice just to put some distance between her and the media - good luck with that. The fact that she's gone to her in-laws rather than her own...

BBM. I'm not sure I understand your post it seems contradictory. Why does the sexting/childfree searches (being a dog) trump the death videos (being a murderer)?

I agree, and it's all kinds of sanctimonious and hypocritical of media types to be exhorting people not to rush to judgment while at the same time they're the ones rehashing and highlighting ALL the juiciest details (just as this woman does in this article under the pretext of explaining them...

Irrelevant and unsuspicious maybe in regards to prosecuting the case, I understand Home Depot already paid for the funeral in this case so I think the prosecution might try and use it. I agree he wouldn't be able to file claims himself so it would make sense to have a family member do it on his...

I wonder if this guy would represent RH pro bono in the hopes of it being as high profile as the Anthony case so he can cash in with book deals etc.

Could that article be any more vague? Which family members did he discuss it with and when? Like I've discussed with my sons what to do and who to contact re my estate when I die? Or has he been in communication with someone since he was arrested and is trying to get them to claim the insurance...

My comment was directed at anyone from either side of the argument (or indeed still on the fence) who insists on behaving like a dog with a bone, gnawing away while holding onto the same point despite being given numerous variations of the same answer complete with links from several different...
