I didn’t mean I thought he’d got there, sorry, it was completely unBrian-related! Like I say, it was off-topic, just something quirky related to the USA/Canada border.
No, sorry, I wasn’t meaning that you were off-topic, I was pre-emptively apologising that I was posting something off-topic. Apologies for the confusion :/
Totally off-topic really but you’ve reminded me of a headscratcher of a USA/Canada border quirk! Take a peek on a map at Angle Inlet, and imagine what it’s like living there, Fort St Charles, Penasse, Flag Island or Oak Island…
Probably answered but this was September 1st or thereabouts. We don’t even know if Brian actually did go back to FL in August, or if that was just an excuse given to Gabby’s family for being in a hotel for a week, rather than on their roadtrip.
It’s how you open the hood. Also in a forensic search, every nook and cranny like that, every part of the van where something could potentially be hidden, is going to be looked at by LE during the process.
He could have done. Perhaps if BL called her grandpa “Stan”, GP followed suit and called him that when she was around Brian.
He also might have heard her call him Stan at, say, family parties, where she might not want to use the pet name when everyone else is just calling him Stan.
Fair enough, I guess it just depends on the set up and security of the hotel. I stayed at a Fairfield Inn where you had to swipe/tap your room keycard to even get to where the rooms and elevators were, but most Fairfield Inns are franchised so it’s probably up to the individual franchisee how...
I don’t think they’d let a delivery guy directly access the guest rooms anyway - it’s not like a motel where the rooms have exterior doors - so IMO delivery drivers probably leave food ordered by guests at the front desk.
I think there’s a touch of phone game/Chinese whispers with the traffic stop - I think the two cops, both thinking they’re talking about the same thing but actually at crossed purposes, conflate Gabby saying she slapped Brian to get him to pull over, with the earlier slapping referenced in the...
It must have been answered already, I’m sure, but the 911 call led to the police tailing the van and Brian speeding. It’s all part of one sequence of events/incident.
Again, if you’re looking at the video where it skips about 100 yards, you’re viewing the low-res vlog video with commentary that the Bethunes posted first, not the later 2K raw footage they posted, which does not jump or have any edits like the one you’re describing.
