I surely don't think anything should mitigate anything to do with this case, but I thought that if a person was drunk or on drugs, that sometimes that was seen as a contributing factor for their committing a crime, they might not have, had they not been on a substance. I did find this. It's...

There may be some little bridges back there, but not even sure of that....Wish I could remember.

There could be...I asked the kids and they don't remember. It has been years since we have been back there. The place was creepy to me, long before this crime happened.....AND we love the woods, ponds, nature...

I'm glad to hear that! I wasn't thinking about this being premeditated....Seems impulsive, but this is a stupid man, so he could have planned for a long time, and still have left enough evidence to have LE right on his doorstep, shortly after he committed this heinous crime.

I've been back there and don't remember a bridge crossing there. When we went, we accessed that pond/creek from the nature trail above that water...If I remember correctly. If I could talk a BIG male friend into going back there with me, I might be willing to go walk that trail again and...

I thought they would...Won't they send a perp's DNA though a data-base to see if they match to any unsolved crimes and then re-open old cold cases if there is a match?

He drowned Gabbi, so I don't see how he could have avoided at least some very wet mud, in order to get her in deep enough water to kill her.

Well on "T," but someone posted that everyone was locked into the school gym. I wonder at what point that happened. Did TM slip away, before LE was called, and everyone was locked up. I live here and this is the first time I heard everyone was locked in. I thought they were ALL searching. Makes...

If he was under the influence of drugs, wouldn't that mitigate the circumstances of his crime? I would think he would want to drug test, but maybe too stupid to know that? Wouldn't having drugs in his system, maybe keep away capital murder charges? I guess each state is different.

I did too! We went out and tagged the maple trees my kids and I will soon tap, got pumpkin ice cream, and helped capture 30 escaped sheep, that had escaped from vacationing friend's farm...

I bet he is the ONLY parent to leave that field, before that child's body was found. What parent, for any reason, would have left while a child was missing!? I can't think of anyone....Not a single one except for TM! No matter how cold, wet, late, hot, windy, snowy, hungry...Would any...

I've seen this happen before, but wouldn't someone with any IQ points at all and having committed a crime that would have involved the exchange of DNA...Get rid of those clothes as fast as they could...Dump, burn etc.? It just amazes me, that they would have underwear with someone else's DNA...

I wondered if the wife was being treated with steroids for her illness..She does kind of have that weight gain. I want to feel so sorry for her, but that is slipping away as I watch her support him.

I'm not trying to be gruesome....But I just don't see how he got this child all the way back to that pond, did what he did to her, and without help... Little girls can scream. Her mother said Gabbi was loud...He took her 400ft. away in the dark, with hundreds of people there. In order to do what...

He sure doesn't seem to be "the sharpest pencil" in the box..Maybe that is why so many of us misinterpreted this crime as being committed by a juvenile.
