    GUILTY UK - Joanna Yeates, 25, Clifton, Bristol, 17 Dec 2010 #15

The prosecution said that they found a duvet and two pillow cases in VT's car. In their closing session they showed pictures from VT's flat, showing a duvet on the bed with a cover matching the pillow cases in his car. I haven't seen or heard anything that brings this into context for me Does...

He is sunk after that pathologist / expert witness

His own pathology expert hasn't really supported the no struggle argument. In addition he seemed to be supporting the sexual asphyxiation possibility He said her torso injuries were consistent with grappling injuries!

I found quite a few cases of his on the net. He seems quiet lenient with minors but tough on adults. He had given a 30 minimum with no chance of parole before

Me too! I was imagining it like a case of Perry Mason :)

My understanding that it's what happened DURING the event that separates murder from manslaughter. Even if the event was 30 seconds long.

I don't think the question of his likelihood of doing this again comes in to the equation. He is being tried for what he did this time He may not have planned it and he may be remorseful but while he was clutching her throat he was doing whatever he had to do to stop her screaming, even if...

There is no mention or rather no recollection of a struggle or any fight. He had difficulty in lifting her to the car and he had to try twice. If he wasn't exhausted from the struggle why did the 6' 4" tall man, who runs and cycles have any difficulty in lifting a 50 kg woman?

The "I dunno" and "I don't remember" has replaced "no comment". Even to the extent that he is saying he doesn't know to things his defense QC has said today

There is NO prosecution evidence he was in Waitrose

Nothing he has said so far appears to be the truth. I see a perjury case looming

on a YALE lock you can push the lever to stop the door automatically locking when closed. The door would then only be held shut like an internal door, on the snib

I suspect she did invite him in for a drink, but his story going for a kiss is rubbish. More likely she went to the bedroom to get something, he followed and lunged at her. Held her by wrists and tried to kiss her. She ran for the door and maybe got outside before she screamed. He pulled her...

So if VT is to believed there was no grabbing of her wrists sufficient to cause bruising? No struggle from her to suggest she was dying as he grabbed her neck for 20 - 30 seconds? No clue that she was dying? She just remain still while he crushed life out of her a then she died? Broken and...

I don't think this is quite correct. If say a doctor in a hospital suspects a child is being abused, he is required to contact child protective services.

I heard on the radio this morning that VT would take the stand on Thursday and I must say I was surprised. If he takes the stand then the prosecution can ask him all the questions he has refused to answer previously and he is bound answer or face contempt charges I don't think he will testify...

Try gripping something with moderate force for a minimum of 20 seconds. I just tried it with a cushion and can confirm you would have to know exactly what you were doing. Especially so, since in the case of Jo she would be resisting and struggling

The prosecutions evidence could be finished in the morning. Did they find no evidence in Flat 1? That would be most unusual. Where is the location of the blood causing injuries?

I've just looked up uses for Rock Salt - seems its really good in helping to remove blood stains from clothing!

I think the defense team are trying to show contrition. The original statement by the Chaplain says VT was depressed (possible remorse?). Where his trial testimony says VT felt "so so".
