Hi, you brought up several good points I wanted to address, so the above is snipped, bolded and numbered by me to make it easier to answer. :) 1. They said "we are not calling him a suspect at this time." They also said they are not ruling anyone out. I assume that includes that last person...

I was re-reading about this case the other day. He claims to have given them to a group (the name escapes me) because he was worried about their safety. I do not believe a word he says. He gave their coats to their aunt (I think it was) the next day saying something like "they won't need these...

Of course they shouldn't. I can completely understand not thinking MR did something, or just waiting to point fingers. But I just don't understand the venom directed at Elaine. Unless someone truly believes that she could somehow have a hand in Dylan's disappearance, I just don't understand it...

Sometimes something bad happening brings people who were formerly together, back together.

Yep, my dd is a prolific texter. She's being moved up to the 8th grade after Christmas break, is participating in Duke University TIPS program, is trying out for a performing arts high school whose sister school is one of the top in the country, is active in cheerleading, dance, color guard, and...

I highly disagree with the bolded. I truly believe LE would have made it known that Dylan definitely DID make it to the house, if they knew that he did. They have no reason to hide this from the public. It would make the public more aware of what may have happened to Dylan, and it would lead...

Maybe, but...if I thought my ex had something to do with one of my children disappearing, (if I just *knew* it and believed it in my gut) I could not "form a united front" with him. I couldn't stand next to him and beg some anonymous stranger that I didn't believe existed to bring my baby home...

Not if we're going with the theory you first suggested (a very good theory, btw) because mr wouldn't have known or suspected Dylan was missing during that afternoon, so he wouldn't be trying to keep any "story" straight.

Correct. But the clothes that were there could have been unusable for many reasons. They may have been clean clothes from his backpack. They may have been wrapped in MR's covers, and thus unusable, or...Idk...I'm not a SAR person, but I do know they are particular about what they use.

I'm not sure that's what that means. If he slept on the couch, where other people had been, used covers others had used, and pillows others had used, kept the same clothes on, and disappeared, there would be no reliable scent items for the dogs to use.
