We had .06 and .01 of rain with still cold temps; on 3/4 it went to 70 degrees and most snow melted. Personal picture I have, taken in chesapeake on 3/1, still had snow (layered with ice) on the open grass, so IMO perhaps by trees/shade, there was more. Picture on 3/6 had no snow on ground...

Here is weather end of February. From www.weatherunderground.com I am local, Virginia Beach, and I just looked at my photos I took at my house and we had a lot of snow on ground February 26th. It lasted on ground a while, so quite possible still on ground 3/2 IMO.
