    Stacy Cremated?

Oh, I hope you don't get me wrong--I think your theory is a good one. And I do think that somehow he could have gotten the chemicals to do the trick. I'm starting to wonder if he got the barrel from some other source, say a restaurant or a bakery, then got the chemicals another place.

    Stacy Cremated?

Offhand, I can't really think of many chemicals you would ship in those blue barrels. Can't ship flammable solvents in a flammable barrel. Maybe road salt or calcium chloride? Washing soda or baking soda? What bothers me is if any dastardly chemical is in one, even a humid day could set off a...

Identified! IL - Will Co., Male body in Des Plaines River, May'09 - Gary Schmidt

I think I worry more about getting brained by one of those scary bighead carp. I know they're not supposed to be this far north, but...

    Drew admits to Storage Facility

Your post got me thinking, as yours generally do. Could he have gone to the airport to scope out the planes? If he knew, for example, if Pete the Pilot's plane was gone, Pete was out of state on a long vacation, then he would have a perfect place to leave a body. Don't know what Cushing has in...

Or if he did, it was way downstream--or another river altogether. I am more let down that I thought I could be over this elimination.

Reception was terrible for some reason--nice to know I didn't miss anything.

I'm from the area, and the cadaver dog hit was news to me when it was recently discussed on the site.

    Drew's Life in Jail Now

Bleagh! I just heard a clip on WLS-AM news. I think I just threw up a little.

The single striking change in his behavior, to me, you summarized in the last paragraph. Why did he go from Secret Squirrel to Top Cat?

It might be some sort of superfakeusouttus plan. Poor Stacy in the first container, and DP struggling with her into the vehicle alone; and night table, tools, etc. in the second. But, why would the latter be warm?

Info on Clow Airport, the nearby facility: http://www.bbclowairport.com/ Info on Aurora Municipal Airport, which is a larger, nearby facility: http://www.auroraairport.com/home.htm There have been more small area airports. There's still one in Dupage County, West Chicago.

IIRC, the plane was ruled out because of too much weight for an ultralight. (or was it too little space?)

I'd like to add that the bones would have to show tool marks. So far, there's been no mention of marks on the ends of the thigh bones, but I will agree with those who are saying that there is evidence being held back regarding the bones. DP is money obsessed. Use tools, and they would have to...

Good points. And even if he took her out of the house in the blue barrel, it doesn't mean she stayed in it. Chicago is both an industrial and a food manufacturing center. Blue barrels are used for pool chemicals and for food ingredients. Just today I saw one that was being used as a trash...

The Trail of Bodies in Drew Peterson's path

I think a lot of people in the area are starting to wonder if the John Spira case is connected to this one.

It would seem to me that the blue cable co. box would be very identifiable--I'd never seen a blue one until this case. It just doesn't seem as if DP would throw this in the river. But, if it was in the river, what if a tramp found it? What an useful find for him! Oh, who needs a broken...

OK--leg snags in something upstream (are we certain it's a leg?), separates, freeing the partial torso. The barrel (if it's connected at all) keeps traveling after the torso snags, being more buoyant. So, if the implants (if intact) are of neutral buoyancy, might they be between the torso and...

Could they mean not legally accessible, as one would have to trespass on Dow's land to reach that point?

Now all "we" need is measurements of current, but I can't help but think that if the barrel was buried in the bank, on the area marked as "Dow Chemical," the barrel (even if exposed again) might have gone unremarked as belonging to Dow. If the barrel broke and the remains fell out, the barrel...

I believe that mitochondrial DNA from the mother is identical among siblings. The last I read was that the techniques weren't as far advanced, but maybe I was misinterpreting that the database of reference samples was lacking. That wouldn't be a problem in this sort of testing, though.
