I stumbled across a really old thread from another site that I think has a picture of the back of the buckskin jacket... The fringe is splayed differently than the only picture I've seen of the jacket, I think there are blood stains, and the lining can be seen exposed along the side splits...

Does anyone know how LE determined that the Wranglers she was wearing were 30L? Was it by measurement or tag? 30L is the type of sizing I'd usually associate with men's clothing. Women's pant sizes are usually 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, etc... Is it possible she was wearing men's pants? I found an image of...

The idea that the clothing is for reenactment purposes is interesting. I was looking around and found that Annie Oakley was from Ohio. She was born in Willowdell in Darke County and died in a town outside of Cincinnati. There is a stone-mounted plaque near the location of her birth that was...

Also, I think more exclusions have been added to her list on NamUs. If I remember correctly, there were 90-something just last month and now there are 165.

Here's another posting on eBay that looks exactly like the one Jane was wearing. The number of grommets aren't the same and this one has a belt. Do we know how she was strangled? The listing has close-up shots of the lining which someone was interested in seeing.

There is a good image of the coat on NamUs (I'm on my phone and can't seem to get an image to embed - link: https://identifyus.org/en/medias/full/4021). There have been a lot of people who have done some great research on the pullover. There wasn't a tag but it does look like there is writing on...

Is there a way to query prison transfer records in Texas? Assuming the photo recently brought forward is of the UID, she was staying at a motel in Beeville, TX in April 1980 and said she was looking to visit a friend in Sugarland Prison. Beeville is a prison town, ain't much more there. Why...

There is a forum of former Way members called GreaseSpot Cafe (A church leader once said of anyone trying to leave, "You'll be a greasespot by midnight!" - predicting that the devil would run them over in the same way a car might flatten a possum on the highway, leaving a "greasespot" on the...

Has anyone considered that she was a member of a cult? Troy, OH is located just south of New Knoxville, OH which is the headquarters of The Way International, a religious cult that was plagued with rumors of sexual misconduct and abuse. The late 70s and early 80s was when membership peaked, a...
