Plus the cell phone found without the battery.... and whatever she said at the scene seems to be leading them to think this was a deliberate act as well...
I would love it if my gas only cost $14!
Yes, in general it's not a lot. The gas station worker said she usually only got about $5.00 at a time, so he considered it more than usual for her - enough to ask her why she got more gas, to which she replied that she was going somewhere.
To expand on this, that could be how the person who did this got in her car. She knew them and they asked her for a ride (all pre-planned). Maybe the person asking for the ride "from a party" had an accomplice who rammed her car, made her go off the road, whatever happened happened, and they...
I'm wondering if maybe someone called while she was at the gas station and asked her for a ride from the party. That would explain the extra gas, maybe, and maybe she told friends she was stopping by the party, but maybe she never actually went inside. If that were the case, some people...
Do we know what the tip was??
I read the post on FB where she finally called it in and was so scared and wanted to remain anonymous, but everyone can see her name on FB.... and if you google her name, it's the very first thing that pops up in results! So much for anonymous - she did the...

Yep - a lot of it is electronic now. Email, etc. We do ask them to return certain original documents signed (or signed and notarized). I think some firms accept the signed retainer agreement scanned over email since it doesn't have to be notarized or filed with the court. The attorney then...
The family could always pay the retainer for him, but he would have to sign the actual retainer agreement. I know I have emailed a retainer agreement to someone and said sign this and return the original to us. Of course, I don't work for criminal attorneys, and I don't know if them returning...
Reading the statute, I am seeing prostitution included as a possibility in the definition of intent to defile - not solely rape. Can this be trafficking? I have thought that was what was going on since the beginning....
LOL!!! Maybe suspicion was the wrong word to use, but I understand the point, and you are correct. I also wrote the thought too quickly before I realized maybe she could have cut herself.... I work in family law and don't know too much about criminal law except what I read or see on TV. I also...
I have a thought.... What if there was a positive DNA match - do you think they would tell us first, or do you think they would go get him, arrest him, and we see "breaking news - JM has been arrested after a positive DNA match"???
Not here in GA... you can be fired for ANY reason - in fact, they do not even have to give you a reason....therefore, no lawsuit for letting you go (not showing up would be the reason given, I'm sure, anyway). Again - I am not sure about employment law in VA.
