I may be wrong, but this sort of savagery makes me think of gang activity, or at least multiple perps. Either way I hope they catch everyone involved, including anyone covering up for the main perpetrator(s).
Will Real Life Nightmare Season 2 Premiere? HLN Renewal & Release Date - Inspired Traveler
Just a heads up, looks like Brittanee’s episode, titled “Spring Break From Hell,” will air on December 13, 2020 as part of the “Real Life Nightmare” series on HLN (owned by CNN).
Sounds like CNN is putting together some sort of documentary on Brittanee’s case. They are evidently in the process of interviewing the family and many of the key players in the investigation of her disappearance. Hopefully it brings renewed attention to the case and maybe brings some movement...
First off, welcome to this thread, and to Websleuths, and thanks for contributing to the conversation.
The tower and cell phone data was discussed in length back in 2010. I would assume attempts were made back then to identify synchronous movements of other cell phones with Brittanee’s...
Eleven years. Should have been solved a decade ago, and those responsible should be dead or wasting away in prison with no chance for parole. Still hoping for resolution. I'm here for the duration either way.
Man once suspected in Brittanee Drexel disappearance to receive no additional prison time
Not particularly surprising, but disgusting nonetheless. This is what you get when a “justice system” favors criminals over victims.
Actually what he said was he thought those concerns about the chain of custody could be overcome because the individuals involved in its collection were experienced former LE officers who knew how to handle evidence. Maybe he’s being overly optimistic in believing that evidence would be...
EXPERTS: 'You don't need a body to prove a homicide'
“You can’t let people get away with murder because they can put somebody in a swamp or put somebody in a lake or put somebody out in the desert and hope nobody ever finds them. You just can’t let that happen,” Kaiser said.
I completely agree with you about SM knowing things that could be helpful, even if he can’t lead authorities to her remains. Obviously I can’t be sure, but at this point I just think the picture DD was shown was sent to SM and TM as a way to confirm HE’s death. At a minimum, I think SM could...
Frustrating day with the website, but thrilled with the result. I agree with others that SM may not know exactly where HE’s remains were disposed of, and it’s possible he wasn’t even present when she was killed. Obviously even if that’s true, I don’t believe that makes him any less guilty. I...
NL has to walk a fine line with AC. I think NL has handled it well. AC is definitely vulnerable on the stand, and I think it would be pretty easy to catch her in her numerous lies, but if AC gets too upset and goes off the rails under questioning from NL, even momentarily, it can be grounds for...
Maybe that frugal nature explains why their audio-visual “expert” retired in the mid-90’s, was really more of an “audio” guy, and had never worked with digital media. Hauling that guy out of retirement to try to refute real experts probably illustrates the desperation of this defense team.
I have the same thoughts about SM’s motivation to show DD. Maybe it’s as simple as SM wanting to brag about what he and the missus had done. Or maybe there was a small stitch of guilt that needed to be released. Part of me has wondered if the picture wasn’t sent to both TM and SM by a third...
I believe last time DD testified the picture was taken “for” TM. I believe it was taken to prove to TM that HE was being taken care of permanently and no one would see her again. The way DD says she would “not be seen by her family again” strikes me. He doesn’t say she wouldn’t be seen “alive”...
Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for the updates and discussion. I haven’t been able to watch but you guys make me feel like I’ve got a good sense of what’s going on and where we stand. I don’t post much on this case but I look forward to a guilty verdict this time around.
Bumping this thread. It's so sad the attention surrounding the 10-year anniversary of Brittanee's disappearance has faded, and the case has been relegated back into the shadows of people's minds. I really hope the FBI wasn't just paying lip service to the people still searching for answers and...
Certainly looks like an ankle monitor. Shows how much of a deterrent those things are. What a joke. How much you want to bet the vast majority of those devices aren’t even monitored?
I definitely agree. I want to see murder charges too. Since Brittanee was murdered during the commission of other violent crimes, I think most of those involved would be facing murder charges, regardless of which coward actually pulled the trigger.
