JMO of course, but I don't buy into the informant theory. I don't believe dedicated police officers would willingly allow a murderer to walk free just to protect an informant.
I also find it hard to believe, and highly unlikely that an alcoholic in late middle age, with little or no criminal record, would assassinate two people he didn't know for no discernible reason. I think law enforcement understood this too.
So what happened here? Why did LGH have the murder...
I wasn't limiting arrests by State Police to only J&P. Hypothetically there could have been numerous people moving drugs from Miami to NYC via that route.
I'm revealing my age with this, but I just realized I'm basing the 'running drugs up and down the coast' theory on the movie The Big...
Not at all. I apologize if I came across as overly dismissive. I only meant that I doubted the Henry brothers killed them on behalf of a motorcycle club since they seem to have members brutal enough to do their own killing. I mean, why outsource that kind of thing?
Other than that, I think the...
We all are, but maybe one person's theory, although technically incorrect, is the catalyst that sparks an idea or thought with someone else which leads to the solution.
Okay.....
Yes there are carjackings where the owner of the vehicle is murdered. As I previously said,
"I think it's possible they [James and Pamela] were random victims of carjacking."
There's plenty of anecdotal evidence to support that assertion. However, statistical evidence indicates the...
Just playing devil's advocate; why would the running of drugs necessitate returning to the Sumter area? If they were running drugs up and down the east coast, IMO, it's more likely they passed Sumter without stopping as they made their way to and from their actual destination.
I agree they...
Some random thoughts:
A guy in Nebraska said he repaired a car that could have been driven by James and Pamela. He said it might have had Washington or Oregon plates. I wonder if the mechanic conflated Washington and Colorado plates. If Pam had a car it might have had Colorado plates.
Staring...
I'm not suggesting that Sumter had any kind of biker gang activity. I seriously doubt Pam and Jim had any ties to Sumter anyway. I suspect Sumter was just a stop on the freeway to whomever committed the crime. Regarding the article, I'm just spit-balling. Biker gangs were apparently a...
I'm unclear too. That's why I wrote in the form of a question. Everything I've read says she was reported missing from Colorado Springs by a family member but that's as specific as reports have been.
It's my opinion that the answer lies in how they met and where they were for the nearly nine months they were "missing."
We know that Pam was reported missing in Colorado. I'm curious to know who made that report. I wonder if Pam fled Colorado because she was afraid of someone. Maybe Pam's...
The reason I asked is I wondered if the barn's owner thought P & J were messing with his curing tobacco crop and shot them, but that's crazy. <modsnip, unrelated case>
Does anyone know when tobacco is harvested? A tobacco barn is where tobacco is hung to cure after harvest, correct? I wonder how long the curing process takes.
ETA: Air curing takes 4 to 8 weeks.
