I wonder if SK was with her when she 'took care of the baby' and he's telling everything but they are having trouble locating her because it's a big river? I have to think he's telling everything that happened and is working out a deal to not be prosecuted. Just a theory. This poor...

I agree with you! I don't see what his motive would be because they were supposedly broken up and if she wasn't staying there at the K house and wasn't planning to stay there until she talked to the mother, it's not like the kids were there constantly getting SK irritated or so. It just...

I get it, and I understand that people DID call CPS on this family. But I will bet you that if you see an adult hit or grab another adult and call the cops, the cops will do something. So what about when an adult hits a child?

I mean, I read this and ask myself, "Do these people think they are making themselves look like heroes my bringing all this out now?" You call the cops, you take the kids, something!!! My God, why are these kids living like this????????

Is it 740 or 704? Either way, those pictures make me sick. My Grandma always said, "You can be poor, but you don't have to be dirty." And she was poor but immaculate.

Thanks really for all the work you did on this case. It's hard emotionally, and I'm sure having to relive it all by writing that is not easy. Now if we can just add a happy homecoming to the timeline. :please:

No, No Ontario Lynn you definitely didn't offend me - that's hard to do. I reached out to people that I got to know - neighbors, co-workers, etc. and got support. Not what I would have gotten if I was back home from family, but here in Germany, it's very different from the States with people...

Yep, I posted that too before I read this post. She absolutely looks like a tweaker and the way she keeps rubbing her nose. And tweakers are violent mother-you-know-whaters. I had a meth house right behind my alley in San Diego and when I called the cops about them always parking in our spots...

Or the drugs could make them forget that they even injured the baby themselves.

Here's the Youtube with NG talking to 'Frank' as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLr_1wOtMhs After watching this video and the other one where AS has Elaina on the porch alone - the mother does not stop wiping her nose! And seeing and knowing as many tweekers as I have... I think the...

I will share something here that I am not at all proud of and I have not read further in the thread so I'm building kind of off of what you are theorizing here. I'm completely with you. As you guys can tell by my posts, I have a young daughter who's 5 and I'm also I single mother. It's hard...

Funny you say that because my daughter sleeps with her one arm up all the time. Never even made the connection. I couldn't tell from the video if Elaina seemed lethargic or if that's just how she was because of this condition. She doesn't 'look' challenged in any way. Maybe some of the...

It sounds weird to me too but that's what the newspaper said and it looks like FerretMommy also confirmed it. Maybe Elaina was born early? I'm only speculating, I have no idea. It seems strange there would be these assumptions while she was still so little. I know my daughter was born with...

    GUILTY OH - Elaina Steinfurth, 17 months, Toledo, 2 Jun 2013 - #3

There was a report and you can find it a few pages back, the link from from one of the Toledo papers, that Elaina had trouble walking and talking and that AS' 'womb was small' so it caused problems developmentally. I don't know how they knew this at such a young age - my daughter definitely...

I think the mother didn't seek help because it was probably obvious the child wasn't 'dropped' or fell. She was likely abused badly. I still have this lingering feeling that the child was given something for her 'pain' and the child died from it. Then the finger pointing. The police are...

    GUILTY OH - Elaina Steinfurth, 17 months, Toledo, 2 Jun 2013 - #3

She definitely did the wrong thing, no matter in reality happened. The difference I see with her now and when the older one was Elaina's age is that she had the father with her then and probably managed her life a lot better. Here was was going from house to house with two little ones and the...

    GUILTY OH - Elaina Steinfurth, 17 months, Toledo, 2 Jun 2013 - #3

I watched the video of the mother's arraignment a few times and what I get from her emotions - and please don't take this is any wrong way - is that she feels she did nothing wrong because the child was hurt non-intentially but SHE is the one who hurt her and is 1) upset she is in jail for it...

I know people have said she seems lethargic but I don't know. She's holding her head up when they walk in the house. Maybe she's tired or just got up from a nap.

I'm behind and honestly don't want to get lured in to a case like this because damn it's depressing, but people doing things to little children makes me so angry and outraged that people like this walk among us. Anyway, from what I can tell, they could have arrested her to get her to talk. I...

GUILTY FL - Kaitlyn Hunt for statutory rape of 14yo girl, Vero Beach, 2013

BBM, you are absolutely right. As a child of the 80's, sex was a such forbidden thing and big deal - in positive and negative ways - all because of the way society treats it. The bigger deal is made about things like this, the more likely they are going to want to try it. It's clear by how...
