Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

I wonder if the reason LE thinks the person is local is because NG recognized and man and he decided that she would turn him in if he left without her. Why else would you take a barely mobile older person with you?

Right, so what if the perpetrators are giving information that only they know so appears like a valuable tip, but pointing at another house or person - maybe they need to see who the high value tips are coming from.

Here is a wild idea- is it possible that the real perpetrators are sending in 'tips' that seem to have some validity, but are purposefully sending the local LE and FBI on wild goose chases to make them look bad? How does LE and FBI determine if a tip is valid?

Agree right handed. The gun pouch over his groin is facing in direction of his right hand.

GUILTY FL - FSU Law Professor Dan Markel Murdered by Hitmen 18 July 2014 - *5 Guilty* #28

Don't think they will let a murderer out of jail, particularly with this heinous crime and the likelihood he would go after those who tested against him. But do think a nicer location or setting might be enough to turn in your family member who clearly threw you under the bus on day one.

The state may want to be prepared for the defense to ask for a quick trial- so probably want to make sure all data is throughly reviewed and ready to be shared with defense team so no information is not thrown out due to technicalities.

GUILTY FL - FSU Law Professor Dan Markel Murdered by Hitmen 18 July 2014 - *5 Guilty* #28

When do FBI follow someone with kids that might flee? Where would she flee to? Likely a country where she could use her Spanish, does she speak other languages? What non- extradition countries fit that possibility? How would a mother with two teenage boys flee? Would she leave them behind or...

GUILTY FL - FSU Law Professor Dan Markel Murdered by Hitmen 18 July 2014 - *5 Guilty* #28

I think Wendy was looking for any excuse. She would find something - she decided the care Ruth wanted for her grandchildren, in the case of an arrest of nearby family, should be by an organization she had vetted. Caring for others so angered the Adelson family that they choose to use that as...

But if that was the case, why: 1) Queey if he was going to be in town that week? 2) why did she go into detail, after she and JL broke up did she ask the details about his travel plans? 3) why was she pulling the pictures off the walls? etc

My blood ran cold when I heard Wendi reading her essay and she said it was a hitman/ professional hit. This was recorded well before any arrests.

I wonder if the diatribe from DA at the sentencing will make it difficult for her to find appellate representation.

Wendi was motivated to keep her law license, Dan's law was about to file against her for filing inaccurate information (fraudulent?) which could have resulted in losing her law license as explained by Dan's lawyer at the time. Not filed because DM's life was ended.

I thought it was made clear it was Donna's evite, not Wendi's where the Adelson name was used for Dan's two boys. Am I mistaken? I believe Donna had to do a sign in with a password to confirm.

Donna is talking to her grandsons. Crocodile tears. No wonder she wanted this to be unsworn testimony.

GUILTY FL - FSU Law Professor Dan Markel Murdered by Hitmen 18 July 2014 - *5 Guilty* #28

My memory, during Donna's trial it came up that she rented the apartment for Wendi using Donna's maiden name. The statement I have heard is that Dan did not see his sons for several weeks until it would agree to several stipulations under this duress. I don't recall if this came up in a...
