Either they photo-shopped their teeth in many of the pictures, or those kids saw a dentist somehow, I believe. It really, really looks like at least 4 of them had braces. Maybe their dentist is a friend of theirs who refuses to come forward?
Someone earlier mentioned the logistics of taking all those small children to festivals and how it seemed unlikely that they could manage it if the children had significant issues. That may well be true, but as I was remarking rather wryly to my wife the other day, if there is any benefit to...
I personally feel that the removal from the aunt is worth discussing, but I don't think we can discuss it at all without some judgement either for or against. Therefore, if that topic is off limits, I can accept that.
I completely agree with you. I personally wouldn't have chosen to do it, no matter what I thought about the current state of the mother. *Mostly* because I am fully aware of what the outcome might be (removal). However, I am leaving room for the experiences, beliefs, and attitudes of people...
I'd like to know how the guidelines about commenting on bio family relates to the current MSM interviews with the aunt and mother.
edited to not sound snarky. I didn't intend for it to.
On the other hand, it still screams to me that she didn't have adequate support to raise the kids without the help of their parents. Still very problematic.
I can understand why you feel that way. I do think the biological family is minimizing. But just what if PC (the aunt) knew the mother was clean and had been in rehab when she allowed her to cook dinner and watch the kids? (I know the court documents says it was the aunt's daughter that allowed...

How devastating for her. I wasn't inclined to feel sorry for her, but the truth is, she had an addiction and was messed up. Yes, they should have been taken away. What she didn't do was kill...
Yes, I think I saw someone the other day say "If Jen or Sarah had opened the door when CPS came the Dekalb's would be heroes." I think people do lose sight of the fact that CPS responded the same day after that call. It was Jen/the women who decided to take off and then drive off a cliff.
At this point I think we can read more into the friend's reaction than to Sarah's text message. Cheryl was obviously quite alarmed to have called around to hospitals and then 911. Something is there.
True. I am also not ruling out the possibility that Hannah refused to have them fixed. Her stony stare and expression in many of the pictures makes me think she is capable of trying to use her missing teeth to send a message. Just an idea after looking at so many pictures. Still, they did seem...
Just speculation, but I feel a bit of a "you need to care more about your appearance" vibe. It would fit with later evidence we have of the women and their concern for appearances.
I'm just going to say that we don't know anything about this aunt, her home environment, background, or why CPS did not think keeping the kids in the family was in their best interest. I would approach with caution.
