GUILTY AL - Jack Girdner, 73, & DeJerinett twins, 9, found murdered, Hope Hull, 3 June 2012

The mom said some hinky things in the interview on TV. Her verbage was not what I expected from the mother of two missing children, nor was her emotional state.

Maybe LE needs to/will look into the kind of folks who have airboats and can take things wayyyyyy back into the swamps. There are places in there that few humans have ever seen. Wonder if Troy Landry and his crew could help search?

Alligators, people. If there is a body in a swamp, it doesn't come out.

I think he left his car somewhere and after assasinating these three innocent people stole the Mercedes and tried to sell it. Selma and the surrounding towns in west Alabama are known drug dens. There are places you have to drive through, say on the way to Mississippi, where you hold your breath...

Great. The suspect lives about a mile from my neighborhood. Glad for 8 dogs who bite.

Maybe I too am a dried up crone but I see crime up all over the place - not just in LA, not just from Katrina. I won't jump on my soapbox with my theory on why. But I've spent lots of time in Nola over the past ten years and frankly don't see much of a change either way since Katrina. There are...

I live in Montgomery. This has not been on our news channels. In fact, this forum is the first place I've even read about the missing children or a murder. What does that tell us? something is very wrong here because usually murders/crimes are headlines in the local news. Hope Hull is a rural...

I agree with lindsayw. I think the LE agents already know who they are looking for, already have the person or will have him soon. This would explain the lack of updates and feed we are getting. Perhaps now TE is coming in to "pick up the pieces" so to speak. Looking for corroborating evidence.

What if LE has all but solved this case already and that is why they seem to be sort of quiet? Just a thought.

What if the truck isn't involved? Say it belongs to a teenager who is just scared of the law in general or was not supposed to be out that late on that night. then what? I keep thinking we are all so focused on this truck and maybe are missing something else. I do believe this was a kidnapping...

clkworks, thanks for the superimposed photots. Makes the scenario much clearer to me. I don't think that is a truck behind her. Using artist's persective, it seems too small to be a truck. I do agree something has been edited out in the b&w shot.

I too think the bike may have been chunked in the water and then the truck/vehicle continued east on I-10. I don't think this was a drunk hit and run. I think it is an abduction, and the vehicle could be in MS, AL or FL easily. If I'm wrong, my second theory is Hideabody Swamp. I hate hate hate...

Longtime lurker, first time poster, Cajun-at-heart boudin-loving-crawfish-eating-zydeco- lover here. I am very familiar with the area Mickey went missing from as I travel back and forth from here to the Evangeline Racetrack to pick up horses. Every time we go over the Whiskey Bay bridge, we...
