Saw theory somewhere that the person disposing of Holly's belongings threw out the pair of underwear that just got mixed into things. If those underwear show any Britt DNA there's going to be a whole lot of reasonable doubt.
Oops, guess it was the witness' theory not just some random person...
So Britt's wife was along for the ride on several occasions when Britt attempted to kidnap and rape someone? What is wrong with people? Why aren't all of the people in prison for life?
I'm starting to wonder if Autry's testimony is true to an extent except he changes the players around.
For example ZA supposedly thought HB was dead then when he realized she was not he said "she heard my name" not JA.
It would make more sense in this context because HB may have been...
I find it interesting that a warrant was done for bank records. LE said the Bobos made some false or misleading statements (I don't think saying Holly was 17 would be the only reason). Obviously LE thought that the Bobos were being less than forthcoming and wanted to delve deeper. That maybe...
Can someone help me with the pings vs incoming/outgoing calls?
If a call is made to Holly's phone but she doesn't answer is that just a ping? Reason I'm asking is that it seems like she should have had a lot more incoming (not answered) calls since I'm sure her mother was blowing up her...
No, you're right. If the attorney knows certain facts they can't argue against them. That was an issue in the Van Dam trial here in California. After the trial it was discovered that the defendant had confessed to his attorneys but they still said he was innocent and tried pointing fingers at...
Admittedly haven't followed this case from the beginning...but since it seems like there's so much of info pertaining to Shayne being left out or glossed over does anyone know if motions in limine were filed to keep this info out of the trial?
It does seem possible that such a motion would...
Just thought of something. Holly's mom said the panties belonged to Holly since she did the laundry. So it's still possible the panties are Holly's but just don't have HER DNA. Maybe they DO have the mother's which would tie them to Holly.
It is plausible that Holly took a spare set of...
Even if the panties have every suspects' DNA on them, if they don't belong to Holly how does that help anything? I'm sure it will eventually make some sense.
I agree and understand completely. I was just trying to figure out what the defense attorney's angle might be. At this point she's not doing a bangup job of casting reasonable doubt. Seems to me she might just be looking for a lighter sentence somehow. Not that it would work but she doesn't...
Based on his own testimony today yes. He's the one who said she was alive. Plus his fear that she probably heard his name which meant she had to die. Additionally running off to make sure no one was around definitely makes him guilty.
Although I would prefer life without parole. I'm in...
It will be interesting to see what comes up in testimony for the defense. I think that possibly the defense attorney is aware of her client's guilt and the best she can hope for is to sway the jury enough to not vote for the death penalty.
Since we don't know how Holly died (speculation...
In theory you are right. But if the State objects it can look like they are trying to hide something. Even if the objection is made and sustained the defense can call the witness back as a witness for the defense. Could seriously muddy the waters.
Well technically she can't claim that her client is innocent if she knows he is not. However she should be hitting hard making the witness out to be a liar, thereby giving the jurors the opportunity to decide if they believe the story.
I am new to this case but my understanding is that...
