    Truck Drivers Alert!

Not necessarily true that Drew would know this, although he would have had access to such. If it wasn't part of his regular job routine, he probably wouldn't have bothered memorizing truck info knowing that he could always look it up. Otherwise, he would have steered clear of the hazmat truck.

The Blue Barrel in the Bedroom? #2

Wow! Excellent points. Never thought of all that and now it feels like all the attention on the barrel has been a red herring all along.

The Blue Barrel in the Bedroom? #2

How long have the Petersons lived there and how long have they had the pool? If he's been buying small tubs of chlorine year after year (which ought to be traceable if he bought it via credit card), then he suddenly buys a barrel late this year, then we've got a behavioral change that merits a...

    Good Things About Drew

I think he doesn't like the media because of its impact on his life more than the impact it is having on the kids. He can always send the kids to grandma's or other relatives if he wants to spare them the day-to-day media glare.

Right now, I believe Drew is being watched too closely to cause any more deaths. Nonetheless, I'd keep my distance if I was the half-brother. After all, the media will eventually have to go away.

    Good Things About Drew

I see where you are coming from but putting up testimonials from people close to the suspect are going to be biased. I grew up on a block with an evil family, always warring with other neighbors, bullying, committing petty crimes, trampling on their neighbors' rights to a peaceful environment...

I agree that he knows dirty cops. It is my experience though that when things get hot for bad cops, the other rats take a step back from the heat. They have nothing to gain by staying in contact with him. Gotta protect that pension, you know.

The Blue Barrel in the Bedroom? #2

Rolling a barrel out of a truck can be done by one. It takes 2 to lift it up and put it into a vehicle. I haven't seen these questions asked yet: 1) How soon after Morphey was asked to wait with Drew's phone did "Stacy" call Drew's phone? 2) How long was Morphey waiting? i.e. the period of...

The Blue Barrel in the Bedroom? #2

All it takes is for LE to find the barrel/container with Stacy's body, and this guy will start cooperating. His initial statement (regardless of his reliability) plus a neighbor as a witness will be valuable evidence for the prosecutor. Now that the FBI is involved, I am more confident that this...

The Blue Barrel in the Bedroom? #1

Psych wards have all those and more. I've been to Bellevue's psych ward in NYC a few times. The last time was guarding a citizen who tried to kill himself. Others there that night included a man who voluntarily admitted himself in the hope of getting free drugs (he kept asking me to ask a doctor...

The Blue Barrel in the Bedroom? #1

If true, this could be devastating to DP -- especially if the "barrel helper" caves in to pressure. Witness accounts placing him at DP's home coupled with the phone call could be just what is need to push "barrel helper" to the point of cooperation.

The Blue Barrel in the Bedroom? #1

LE could gain access to a person holed up in psych if needed. I would bet they've been talking to him and his family. Given medical costs for such hospitalization, I doubt this person would be held for very long (unless still viewed as a threat to himself). We can hope that this person is...

    Suspect Drew Peterson #2

Think he's taking the media coverage too personally? They are just doing their job. Something's gotta be getting to Drew when he has to randomly insult one of the media just to let off some steam. Wonder what's eating him?

    Peterson's Money

Depends on the municipality but $92,000 would be a little lower than what other police departments in the NY/NJ area pay (excluding NYC which is much lower). Richer towns/counties pay higher around here. Cities, with their bigger departments, can't afford to pay that much. Suffolk County in NY...

It would help to know if his department has a minimum notification requirement. In the NYPD, an officer must submit a request to retire 30 days prior to his/her last working day.

Drew Peterson To Be On Matt Lauer AGAIN 11/19/07 WHY????

You got that right! He does look like he is laughing/smirking over it all (but then again he is self-admittedly a jokester). I saw the Today segment and he is definitely feeling a bit more defensive though. Gone now is the free-wheeling, face-to-face talks he has with interviewers. He will now...

    Suspect Drew Peterson #1

Pension loans / Loans against your pension contributions are a common practice when available. NYC employees are allowed to withdraw up to 75% of their contributions. Usually the loans have to be paid back within 5 years. We also do not know if Bolington contributes to their workers' pension...

    Suspect Drew Peterson #1

With that much money, Stacy... - Would not have to call family for money (or else she'd have called them by now). - Would not need to use her credit cards or bank cards (no transactions to track her so-called whereabouts) - Could travel anywhere in the world and live off the cash (she could be...

    Suspect Drew Peterson #1

And a convenient excuse. I am sure DP thinks all men would naturally agree with him about women and what they're like on their menstrual cycle. His arrogance during Matt's interview was simply unbelievable.

More like wild speculation or a Hollywood movie take on infamous Peterson deaths (I'm thinking of Terminator's Sarah Connor here). While this is a very creative compass-oriented approach, thinking in these circles means anything goes. A Peterson London? Peterson South by Southwest? You get the idea.
