Hi everyone... :loveyou:
Just wanted to add that I went to primary and high school with three of the Gittany family members - Simon, Simon's brother (mentioned in MSM), Anthony, and a female cousin (with whom I was close friends).
For anyone interested, the family pronounce their surname...
I really need to say this, on the eve of GBC's committal hearing:
THANK YOU, to all the wonderful people here on WS, who have remained dedicated to justice for Allison and the Dickies. :tyou:
I have never, before, had such admiration for a group of people I have never met! From the career...
I recall something similar (right to silence being looked into), Obby, but I haven't been able to locate the story I read. By googling, I have found some stories relating to a possible law change in NSW, but I thought there was news about this in Qld, too? In any case, this is the most recent...
Thanks, Obby. Not really clever, though... Just a quick cut and paste. :)
If I consider this as the most likely position that they were in, when GBC was attacking Allison, I can easily reconcile GBC's injuries.
MOO.
I think that, initially, his face was much closer and, hence, Allison was able to dig her nails into his cheeks. After those scratches, though, I think GBC maintained as much distance as possible, while still restraining Allison, and so the other scratches Allison inflicted on GBC were on lower...
Respectfully snipped...
Although I try to maintain a logical approach to theorising the events behind GBC's injuries, I still find it very difficult to read about them, because I picture Allison in so much distress, fighting for her life. :(
In my opinion, she really put up a fight and GBC...
In my mind, I have Allison lying on her back, on the floor (or a couch, or a bed). GBC has her pinned down, with his legs bent under him and his knees positioned around her chest area. He is much bigger than Allison, so his weight alone would have been enough to restrain her.
While GBC is...
It's great to have a doctor confirm our thoughts on the scratches. Yet, I think most people who have previously used a razor and accidentally cut themselves (e.g. males on face; females on legs) would consider GBC's explanation for the scratches to be a complete lie, without confirmation from a...
Thank you for posting this photo, Obby. I cannot believe that these are the scratches that GBC asked doctors to record as shaving cuts.
In my opinion, when I look at the way the scratches curve, I can clearly picture fingernails moving down the skin, across the hollows of the cheeks, then...
Respectfully snipped...
Dr Watson, my apologies for just repeating what you said! And you also explained it much better than I did. I agree that it was the position of GBC's head that ultimately determined the position of his facial scratches.
I am, however, going with the suggestion that...
Yes, I agree, alioop. Obby, your sleuthing about the scratches has made me think about this "issue" a lot more. When I consider the angles of the scratches, I picture Allison being heavily restrained and, in an attempt to avoid being scratched, GBC has moved his head back. So, when Allison...
Hello again, all you amazing people.
It's been a while since I last posted, but I have kept up to date with all your sleuthing. As always, you have continued to impress me with your theories, ideas, expert knowledge and, overall, your endless support for Allison, her girls and her parents...
Hello again lovely people...
I wanted to let you know that, as many of you felt such a massive surge of relief with GBC's bail being denied, so did I!
At the same time, I couldn't stop thinking about Allison's three girls. All because of their dad's greed and duplicity, they've lost their...
I can only believe that Allison must have been such a beautiful soul, to have so many people (including the lovely people on here) hanging on for justice to be served. I feel such a combination of relief for Allison, as well as heartbreak for her little ones.
May you now rest in peace...
Hehe... Very true! We could be looking at damage from a number of sources: guard rail, tree, bollard, another vehicle. My neighbour bumped into our letterbox a few months ago and, in her small car, had similar damage to the Prado. So, let's throw a (large) letterbox into the mix, too!
MOO.
I just googled some images of the bridge and had another look at the guardrail. IMO, it looks quite low and, in comparison to the height of the Prado, may be too low to cause the damage that we see on the Prado.
I had a look at some other photos of the area around the bridge and I'm now...
IMO, I wonder if it comes down to just not being able to afford the insurance excess? If you have a business that is going downhill fast, there may not be a "spare" $500 to use for excess... MOO.
