Agree, but he could also have travelled just 10/20/50 miles in that time, Snowdonia national park is only 27 miles away - 40 mins drive time. I live in a rural area & whilst using A/B roads round here I have never seen (or heard of) any cctv/camera's etc.
Having said that, I still think the...
Telegraph quote;
April’s parents, Coral and Paul, were reportedly still at the parents’ evening when April, who was playing outside on her bicycle, disappeared
I understand your confusion paddywhack, if the word 'outside' had been replaced 'with near her home' it would have been...
The article describes the van as "a vehicle he had use of which is of interest to the inquiry." To the best of my knowledge, however, no further details about this vehicle were ever released. Given that we’ve not been provided with the vehicle’s make, model and registration number I...
Thanks for the info Skigh, so his London history will have been checked out?
Der - I've re-read your reply & can see the answer. Apologies. You answered my question very precisely. Thanks
Good point Amber,
Even without hindsight I think the crb checks may still be 'iffy'
I thought the CRB was a national database, but it appears not to be.
My brother in law very recently applied for a job as a school bus driver & had to submit CRB forms to each of 3 surrounding councils...
On the same day, (Wednesday 10th Oct) April's parents visited the specialist police search base at Y Plas community hall in Machynlleth.
Supt Ian John
Dyfed-Powys Police said the pair met some of the people trying to find their daughter and were "extremely grateful" for all of the work that...
Ref The Telegraph's report; April Jones: Kidnap suspect Mark Bridger 'was weapons collector’
As mentioned in this report (sorry you'll have to google it - I'm not a computer buff!)
MB has a firearms licence for his rifle, ok nothing strange in that it's a rural area etc, but when you...
This was a disgraceful instance of a media feeding frenzy; the press wrongly asserted in print, that CJ had been involved in unacceptable sexual behaviour & was linked to both paedophile offences & a 1974 murder - this was a shocking display of 'gutter press' at its very worse! CJ filed charges...
Not quite,
Mr Justice Gage presided over Barry George's original trial.
Mr Justice Griffith Williams actually presided over Barry Georges retrial, when Barry George's conviction was overturned.
I second that Clio,
In the report, reference the 2.15pm timeline being reported twice, the distance between the two locations mentioned was actually 11 miles. So again' shoddy reporting.
Nearly right, whilst on remand (8th Feb 2011) Vincent Tabak told a prison chaplain that he had killed her (her name was Joanna - I do hate using the word her, but this is how it was reported) & intended to plead guilty. (strangely he was very anxious about telling his girlfriend this news)
On...
I understand your bewilderment; you were just asking an innocent question. Discussion is one thing, but not listening & repeatedly enforcing an opinion upon others is just . . . bullying. (not the first time this has happened on a blog) People get carried away.
Enough said, let's move on.
I keep going back to pictures of that white van (looks like a ford to me) surrounded by police cars just before MB was arrested,(on foot) was the vehicle empty? who & where was the driver? a ford connect van was mentioned in the earlier investigation - but has been totally dropped now, why? If I...
Indeed it was, by Tabak - who claimed the evidence had been fabricated by corrupt officials. This evidence along with other specimens of his dna (on Joanna's clothes, & recovered from his car boot) were presented in his court case & he was found guilty of murder.
Incidentally in the Tabak case Police DID HAVE evidence, Tabak's saliva was found on Joanna's body.
I was replying clutchbag's post 1044 - apologies if confusing.

I understand where you're coming from MoonFlwr, I followed the Joanna Yeates investigation closely, unfortunately CJ put himself (unintentionally) right in the middle of an active investigation with a vague interview, upon which the media leapt, the media were out of order & the police...
