Do we know for absolute fact that the girls were at the field party in Skipperville, and had gotten permission to stop to see the boys on the way home, but never made it?

I personally think we need to throw away pretty much everything we thought we knew. 1) they were never lost, and not coming straight home. 2) Low on gas? Of course they probably were. Troy to Dothan, Dothan to headland and looking for Haleburg party, back roads to Skipperville, and that...

My understanding is it isn't available for public viewing yet, except for film festivals. I only know of one it has appeared in so far, in Florida.

I truly do not think the girls were lost from the time they chose to go to the skipperville party (while in headland, speaking on the phone and being seen by an officer, and speaking with "Bookie"). I think they asked about directions to clarify they were going the right way, particularly after...

My understanding is we know the girls went to and were seen at a field party in Skipperville. If this was the case, they weren't lost. Possibly a little disoriented, but not lost. 105 is the road that goes from Skipperville to Ozark. The store they called from is on 105/27 as you come into...

Almost any right turn between headland and Midland City would lead to Hwy 27. But if they were going to a party in skipperville they may have intentionally taken 67 to 36. Or a similar route. It crosses 27, and ends in/near skipperville. It is also the same road as the store they called from in...

Basically any right turn when driving back way from headland to Midland City will take you to hwy 27. And if they were going to a party in skipperville they would have needed to cross 27

Sadly, I have knowledge of something going on in Dale County that is screaming of corruption and abuse of power. It is involving DCSD and a minor child.

I did not give it much credit at the time, but I was told that one of the girls was taken to the hospital for resuscitation efforts. It was not a standard rumor, I only heard it once. I am beginning to wonder now if there was anything to it. Does anyone else know if this really happened or...

wow, that is the first I ever heard that as a definitive thing (both wearing jeans) I think I just always figured they were, even though it was implied one was wearing a skirt, because there was talk of moisture levels, briars, etc. A skirt implies scratches and tears if nylons were worn.

Are you requesting more information on the river gathering spots? I have learned of more since the post you are referring to, but I do not think any of this is going to factor into what really happened.

oh yes, particularly in the summer months, for swimming and such. Whole families will go out there. The partying starts more in the evenings and the more secluded ones. Or like on one side of a bridge is the partying, the other side the families/swimming, lol.

I seriously doubt they ever went to a field party that night, but around 1 or 2 miles outside of town where the farmland starts there was liable to be one at any given time. I was in my late 20's at the time of the murders, and did not attend any around here growing up, but basically it would...

there is just so much information missing! If even a small portion was made public it would tighten the picture up considerably.

I was trying to figure out how they could go through a stream/creek/river and be wet to the knee, yet not have any of the red dirt residues, if that was the case. I do not see dew alone wetting their pantlegs to that extent, if the dewpoint had even been reached by the time they were killed...

so in my opinion the ice plant is out. Also, almost anyone that lives in this area can tell you that it does not matter what water you go into, there will be red staining (thus my kids always had designated lake/river/fishing clothes) If anyone knows how to get it out, PLEASE say, lol...

I have thought about it a little bit since writing this. The area is predominantly red clay dirt, which would probably leave a tint depending on where this occurred, even if they(the clothing) were dried by the time they were found. But it would also leave a stain on the seat and/or floor of...

I just have a lot of thoughts running through my head. First off, if someone were to ask me the quickest way to 231 so I could get to Dothan, I would not have told them to take Broad street (aka Andrews avenue, etc etc). Take a left at the 2nd light, S. Union, at the courthouse, and it runs...

The information is probably buried in the forum somewhere, but can someone refresh my memory? What materials were the car seats made of? Were there floor mats?

Actually, I think 231 is the 7th light. But if they turned at the 5th light, they would have been on college if I am counting right, and know where that leads? If they stay on it until it runs out, it forks out onto Eufaula, which has an optional fork that leads to Atlas ( and the other end...
