They can fly in a portable freezer on commercial aircraft, with or without a handler. So I’d expect it to move at the speed of commercial aviation.
Source: I was recruited as an organ recovery tech out of school.
I doubt this helps much, but wanted to add something about the jacket. If it’s true that the person is wearing waterproof clothing, that’s significant because it drastically narrows the possible sources of the jacket. It looks like a waterproof jacket (would help to see the zippers), but iso...
Looking at the area she was walking, it seems there’s a long history of surges with strong undercurrents ripping people out to sea and killing them. If you search Brace Cove you will find at least three known deaths right away, two of people walking and a third of a fisherman on the rocks...
Has there really not been any comment since the summer? This case is so sad. I just saw the episode of Disappeared and read the FB and the comments here. I just wanted to add my 2-cents for what they're worth.
1. I think it's very likely that David wasn't the one to leave his car at the DG...
This is what gets to me about this case. There is actually very little information, especially if you discount the husband's story. Obviously LE can't disclose much, but usually there are more people close to a person who have strong opinions and speak out, or at least more witnesses.

What's interesting about methanol poisoning is that the effects frequently aren't felt for 24-48 hours, especially if the victim has been sleeping for part of that time or drinking ethanol. When it does present, it has the appearance of ethanol intoxication at first, and the tests required to...
Hi guys,
Not trying to hijack with this methanol hypothesis or anything, but in the autopsy report (http://www.autopsyfiles.org/reports/Other/schuler,%20diane_report.pdf) it says that they used GC-FID to identify the ethanol. I use one of these regularly, and did a quick search for people...
I just watched the documentary and I was wondering if anyone had ever looked in to methanol poisoning? This case sounds like textbook alcohol poisoning, but I'm not sure it was ethanol. Methanol has the effect of, among other things, causing vision disruption or loss, as well as abdominal pain...
Some additional thoughts, after catching up with the comments:
I think Fred is singled out quite a bit because of his friction with law enforcement, because of his uncompromising "my way or the highway" attitude, and most of all because some accounts of his relationship with his daughter seem...
I just wanted to add something, in response to the question of why anyone would suspect foul play:
I think that foul play is the most likely scenario for a few reasons. The first set of reasons involve a lack of clear premeditation, as outlined well by Captain Kahn, above. I don't see why she...
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!
Circuitguy, you make a good point. I have to believe that the person who picked her up was either distinct from the other people who offered to help her but were turned down, or was very forceful from the beginning. I guess it's also possible that the...
Hey all,
New to this community. I just wanted to say a few things about this case, because I've read everything I can on it, and it just wont let me go. Maybe it's because we're similar in ages and other factors, but Maura's disappearance is something that lingers in my mind all of the time...
