There would have been blood. The claws and teeth would have pierced the skin and Jaryd would have bled significantly before dying. If Jaryd was consumed by a mountain lion, there would have been blood and other fluids everywhere at the kill site. Not a single shred of Jaryd's DNA was found on...

There were negligence charges considered in court but they were dismissed. Janet wasn't driving her own car, but rode in an SUV belonging to one of the other group members. She was at the mercy of whoever was leading them to the trail so to speak, though they were aware there were kids along...

Yes. They started out as three smaller groups, but this changed as people stopped to look at the scenery along the trail. This hiker was also the last off the trail when the deputy arrived and ushered people back to the trailhead. It wasn't a news article, but an older news clip that Allyn had...

And thank you for helping the discussion continue. To rephrase, there is one member of the hiking group that keeps landing back on our radar, and this person had some puzzling behavior on the trail if not simply ignorant. He was the one who stopped everyone to pray first before seeing to Jaryd's...

They were questioned separately and then together. Their stories lined up and were cleared. There is one group member that keeps creeping back. When you run a resort, you get all types coming in and out, and they all see the two kids running around. Allyn had hosted members of that group before...

A planned abduction is a likely scenario. There are a number of inconsistencies in the narrative that shed light on way too many sides of the story. The sheriff, several of the hikers, the fishermen, and especially the hikers that "found" the clothing. It's hard to imagine so many haphazard...

It's still a mystery as to why everyone was so lax with Jaryd that day, but a statement from the Sheriff's report says that no one was really introduced to each other despite this being a group meant to introduce you to new people. Allyn knew most of them, and had told them if they helped him...

I can upload some pictures of the clothing and the remains, but I am hesitant about disclosing the exact location of the finds as it poses the risk of lurkers trying to stage publicity stunts.

You are seeing correctly. Though human traffickers will often parade a victim in public to show them that no one is going to help them (as a means to psychologically break them down,) why would a killer go through such lengths to climb a mountain to place clothing at a hotly disputed tracking...

Thank you for asking and welcome to the forum. I don't know of the specific affiliations he had in the area, but he was certainly in a position to know people. His behavior was very suspicious when the clothing was found. In the original case, he was there for the cameras and that's it. When the...

No. No one ever does. We can't predict when we'll prove something, but remain optimistic that someone will finally crack this case. We have our avenues to explore and will do so as our resources allow.

Please read the previous posts I've made regarding the animal attack theory. It's been explained numerous times, with mountain lion experts smarter than both of us on the subject attesting that the likelihood of it being a cougar is extremely slim. Agreed. I don't believe it was the...

Allyn Atadero has requested a respite from case activity as he's been overwhelmed, and we are respecting that with our silence at this point. However, we continue to research in the background. We have two trips planned to the canyon this year and will have plenty of video to share from both.

They were nervous. No doubt. Their story is highly questionable.

Sorry for the confusion. Campsite 1 is closest to the trailhead and Jaryd's group was walking south along the trail. The campsites are to the east of the trail about 100ft or less up the mountain. The reason I oriented the image the way I did was to have a closer view of the area.

This is a theoretical demonstration of the potential escape route based on where Jaryd's scent was detected along the trail. This is one of two theories we have developed, and the only one we can share at present. Jaryd's scent was detected first at Campsite #2. The scent hits at #3 and #4...

@K9Enzo, You have to watch it on Hulu or rent it on Google Play. I can't provide a link to it because it's not on YouTube.

@K9Enzo, Thank you. The reason I asked is that a peculiar incident happened after the official search had ended. A scent dog was taken to some sites along a different road in Poudre Canyon some distance away from the Big South. On their way back down from their search area, the dog caught a...

Some additional facts I can share is that Alderden and his old boys club always sought out the least political solution to an incident. He threatened two congressmen who were coming to the trail to offer their help. Alderden's gang wanted to be the heroes. It's hard not to think that he was...

I see what you're saying. It was laziness and incompetence, and a large amount of narcissism. He displayed these characteristics on television and in the office, and this comes from an insider. That is all I can share.
