Mizstery, Merci for zee leg pulling, Madame. I, too, was being somewhat... how do you Americans say, cheek-in-tongue, at the beginning and end of my technical exposition? To summarize for the sane people who very wisely chose not to wade through all of it, if the local or federal LE had a...

Wuh hey, there was Eric the Red (of that ancient gang, the Vice-kings...) Actually I think a common characteristic of a murderer who successfully avoids detection is that of a chameleon: not standing out, going about his daily life acting as if nothing happened. Recall that M&M video...

Maradentro, My suggestion would be to ask the jurors to recall their childhood, when they probably tried to speak while holding their tongues: "My father works in a shipyard..." Regards, Clouseau

William N, I agree. In a federal prison they do normally serve the full sentence, but most defintely NOT in a state prison. By the time his murder trials are over in MS and LA, assuming he is not convicted in either, he might have already qualified for parole in LA for that credit card...

TTF14, Not to quibble here, but I've simply got to get this off my chest, especially if the DA intends to re-try this case without making any "improvements" in his presentation of the facts. And let me make it clear that I do believe QT is guilty. But if the prosecution hopes to make 12 new...

I wonder if this late in the game some follow-up FBI and/or MBI interviews of the 1st responders and checks of their telephone records might uncover that, although unintentional, there was collaboration in the sense of discussing or sharing information between the time of the fire and the...

cady, I was wondering why the prosecution didn't list that can of freon in their inventory of crime scene evidence, too. If the temperature inside the car was sufficient to burn everything combustible, and if the heat could be felt through the vehicle windows of the two who happened upon the...

MizStery, Your posts and DeDee's have become a mainstay for me, along with several other folks, always encouraging us all to pursue justice and dig a little deeper. Despite your caring preoccupation with your husband's serious condition, I am glad this WS site could be a welcome diversion and...

Warning: if this doesn't put you to sleep, you have been drinking entirely too much coffee. The following is based on Paul Rowlette's Power Point slides and discussion about cell towers in the Courtland area. Four towers come into play. Each was used by multiple cell phone companies, and not...

Great idea, EllaMae. There should be plenty of sharp minds in a college town containing not just a university, but one with a law school. Not only that, John Grisham (author of many best-selling legal thrillers) and the DA himself attended that law school. And if that's not enough for you...

I would love to know what Eric... I mean Quenton Tellis' Mama feels about all of this. Lot's of folks in LE and on the jury concluded he did some bad things. He even admitted to some of them. JMO, Clouseau

Apparently the meaning of the word "unanimous" was not understood by the jurors, or at least by the foreman who wrote the original "Not Guilty" verdict that was handed to the Judge, as borne out by the subsequent polling of the jurors by name. That speaks volumes to me about their understanding...

Yes, indeed. "Snitches get Stitches" ...or worse. I imagine the "Baby Mama" who was revealed to be a CI for the PCSD narcotics officer who collected the car keys has long since departed the scene for parts unknown, just like Ali Alsanai. Most of these residents of Courtland will still be living...

From my obversations of the entire trial, this Judge was positively one of the best I have ever observed. He was congenial, decisive, allowed leeway to both sides, ruled correctly on all objections and points of law, and most of all, he protected the jury (no photos allowed of any juror, going...

I disagree. I think they went for broke, since that is what Panola County, or the State of Mississippi, or both would be if they spent any more effort on this crime. Even if the state prevails and convicts, they are looking at years and possibly decades of funding efforts to combat appeals...
