I too had wondered if her past was being held against her. She was years past that life, however it was mentioned that she was considering going back to dancing because of the family finances. No matter how bad the finances, I think that would not have been good for her and her baby, and it no...

I understand them not wanting 1/2. Hopefully they have them by now, or will have them soon. Thank you for answering that sensitive question.

Set Her Soul Free, a question for you. A difficult one, but an important one. When SL went ahead and cremated Lindsey without regard to informing family/friends, what did he do with her ashes? Did he hang onto them? Throw them away? Return them to her family? If he just tossed them out, I...

It is great news! I did worry about the witnesses who took the stand against him. He's got anger issues. FOUR weeks for the next trial. I guess more of those 100 prosecution witnesses will be called. Let's hope for a good outcome next time around. Feb. is not that long. He gets to...

While I agree with you 100%, he should NOT get out of jail, I also thought there would be a quick slam dunk guilty verdict. The world is upside down. I anxiously await till tomorrow to see what transpires. Hopefully new trial is allowed, and SL sits in jail while he waits for that trial. But...

Set Her Soul Free mentioned she thought it would be in March. Possible that after court Wednesday they'll know for sure.

:) I appreciate it. I know it's juror, but for some reason I kept using jurist. Juror Juror Juror Juror, if I repeat it enough times I won't make that mistake again. I always notice a common error of others: There Their They're, maybe I shouldn't be such a spelling snob. Jurist...geesh LOL

Yes, I remember when they accused Casey's father of sexual abuse, absolutely disgusting. Legally would Casey have had to tell him that, for him to utter it inside court? I do believe that it was told as a "statement of fact" instead of a theory. I see how the defense lawyer's can theorize...

Thank you for clarifying that. Damned shame they are allowed to MISlead the jury this way. What was said was incorrect. The Judges instructions are sort of general, and basically you can ignore anything you want to, and believe what you want to. You might expect the defendant, and the...

I stand corrected on the numbers, I wrote them down incorrectly. Either way, the numbers weren't good. I wish I knew whether the judge, or the prosecutor, corrected the defenses error. It was a grave error, and did not deserve to stand uncorrected. I wonder if any jurists googled SL after...

Lordy this is weighing heavily on my mind. I've read in the news, numerous times, about a jury who can't reach a concensus. The judge sends them back to deliberations, sometimes more than once, to get them to become unanimous. This judge let them off after only 10 hours of deliberations...

I don't believe it is legal for the ex to sign away child support. The money is the child's (not for x-boxes, but for life's necessities and education). My understanding that any such arrangement could be fought in court, by the child, down the road. Now, they possibly could have a quiet...

You're right. He won't get his $150,000 to $175,000 job (as if) back. He was fired, and now that he's got a murder trial behind him, and another one ahead of him, he'd be lucky to get a min. wage job. He might be able to couch surf with family, who'll feed him, that won't cost too much...

I read somewhere that SL, before this murder happened, he had to go to court on back child support and I believe there was a "contempt" charge (for not paying?? I don't know that part). The contempt part had the possibility of him going to jail. So, if that moves ahead if he gets out on bail...

Since you've indicated that there will be a retrial, can I suggest this: Through Melinda's father (or directly if you have a connection with the prosecutor at all), direct the prosecutor to this website. I know that lawyer's do the best job they can. But sometimes little "nuances" slip by...

I want you to be wrong too. I'm hoping he won't get custody of baby girl as he said, in court, while the family was in danger from a stalker, that he took Xanax, Valium, and 5 shots of scotch. Poor decision making skills, "at a minimum". A "potential murderer" at worst (as far as CPS would...

If it was that defense lawyers comment, then he should be held to task for stating something that is NOT correct. But I agree with you, it's the ONLY thing that would seem to make sense...though not much sense at all. I'm glad for a retrial. I am very sad that the family has to go through a...

2 jurors were undecided. Many a judge has sent a jury back to continue deliberating if they can't come up with a unanimous decision, (in this case however, it'd be tough to bring the 7 not guilty, and 2 leaning towards not guilty around to a guilty verdict. But I still wonder what went wrong...

I'm going to try to get some sleep. I'll have to take a sleeping pill, because I know this will play over and over again in my mind. How well will the jury sleep?

agreed 100%. How did they buy his pitiful story? I had made a comment earlier today how I hope they all had connecting brain cells. That was said as a joke. Now I'm thinking they did not have connecting brain cells. Was there a bully foreman? Wonder what the male/female composition was...
