I would think that every day would feel like a week. It must be excruciating to wait for this trial.

I don't believe it is unusual for trial dates to change. I find it interesting that they have scheduled a two week trial. There is going to be a lot of testimony in two weeks. I would expect there will be more witnesses that will talk of his dysfunction to help the prosecutor do his/her...

Hopefully you will be a witness for the prosecution.

I thought it was June 8. In any case, SHSF (I think it was her) indicated that there will probably be delays, and it could be a year or more down the road. The longer the wait, the harder it is on her family/friends. I'm hoping for sooner than later.

Thank you Set Her Soul Free for your updating us. There is no need for you to do that, but you know that a lot of people care, and follow this story closely. I'm glad her parents are getting a little bit of solace knowing they are being thought about.

I'm not sure of how most insurance policies work, but when you take out a life policy, is there a waiting period? Even if there wasn't an insurance policy, the "guilt level" shoots higher if one tries to claim on a post taken out yesterday. Maybe the policy was "just in case", and then in...

"It was the cheapest easiest way to dispose of her." Wow, those words are powerful, and very possibly true. It hurts me to hear that. I can only imagine how her loved ones feel about the way SL just "got rid of her", and they didn't get the chance to say goodbye the way they may have...

"SL states the intruder took his wife into the bedroom" This was in the post at 3:51 yesterday. Snow White's post, but it was quoted from a prior post. Not sure where it originated. I do remember seeing it before, but I don't have time to go through all of the pages to find it. I do...

Absolutely. Even though we have a lot of information here, I"m sure the police have loads more information. They spent almost a month collecting information before the arrest.

I don't think it would be easy to keep a baby calm during all of this commotion, even if she's used to SL being anything but calm. When parents argue kids often cry...even older kids. Dad being hysterical (in her room) I'm sure would be most upsetting. I like your thoughts on this. He...

I agree with your comment about the cruise. It does not indicate a kindness to Melinda if it was done at the expense of paying his child support to his first child. That is irresponsible and selfish on his part. And assuming they went, Melinda was not given the joy of sharing her...

Although I, and most people here, would disagree with you that SL is not the killer (in your opinion, and you are certainly entitled to that), I do feel I wish to comment on your very last sentence "sounds like a normal relationship to me". There is evidence that it is not normal. He lied...

As to speculation that the ex-wife, or his brother (both mentioned as potential suspects on this site), there still is the fact that the police stated there were NO footprints through the snow to the house, or away from the house. I know no more than anybody else on this site, but I think the...

That is very possible. Perhaps she got sick of his sickness, and tried to stand up to him. This of course is just speculation. The trial will clear up many of the questions we all have. Even though I have some sympathy (and understanding) for the ex-wife, I in no way blame Melinda. She was...

I was thinking about this. Was Melinda's personal text posted on the other site AFTER the murder. If so, that wasn't too kind. But if it was before she was murdered, ex-spouses go through years of anger and betrayal pain after the event (believe me, I know). The spouse of course deserves...

Does it really matter who divorced who. He broke the wedding vows, and got another girl pregnant. He may have divorced so he could marry Melinda. She might have divorced him to get his sorry A$$ out of their lives.

This is very true. I would imagine his first wife has a load of stories (even prior to cheating probably) that show what a bad husband/father he was. Although she was likely devastated when she found out he had a pregnant girlfriend, and he walked away from her and their son, in the end she...

What is also very interesting about this is that after the murder he had to know he was the suspect. He should have put on the biggest acting job of his life and pretended he was grieving, and try to do what a grieving husband would do. Instead he becomes person non grata and he goes out and...

That is so very sad. Many people don't express what they prefer when they die, so it's a toss of the dice whether to cremate or not. But you say she expressly said she wanted to be buried with a headstone, and he did just the opposite. I hope she haunts him for the rest of his life.
