I have not and will not vilify the victim. If the texts had nothing to do with her murder why were they brought up? I didn't bring them up,. simply put them in context. I have no clue what will be brought up in court and what won't, I'm not privy to the defense atty's strategy, nor the...

I don't know what concerns you? NO ONE deserves a death sentence, whether they were a perfect spouse or a lousy spouse. That's pretty simple. And I just stated the obvious about how trials work, they are not one sided. That's why we have "defense" attorneys. Even a person that may give a simple...

That's why I became a verified member, so I could discuss things that have not been made public. Now from a legal standing, I didn't divulge anything that will effect either side, defense or prosecution.

I have not once bashed the victim. But thank you for the reminder.

Sorry you feel that way. No matter what their relationship was like she did not deserve a death sentence. I don't know who was at fault if their relationship was bad. And of course court is different then a forum. It's a no spin zone, everyone's short comings comes into play, not just Steve's.

Perhaps! But the constant threat to do so is also used by a person trying to manipulate a situation.

Not to argue the point, but the time stamp is only for the one text that says "call me". There is no time stamp for the others. Also, what was clear was that Steve told her to pack and leave if that's what she felt "she needed to do", he was not insisting she do it.

On New Years Eve, Melinda went out to celebrate with her friends. I won't pretend I know why Steve didn't want to go, but he chose not to. He went to his brothers with the baby and spent the evening there. At 3 A.M. after the celebrating was over Melinda went to pick up the baby. For "obvious"...

Since this is a victim friendly forum, I will give "Set her Soul Free" a chance to put the texts in context if she knows the context. Other wise I will put them in context according to the police interviews. Also, autopsy reports = Melinda was not pregnant.

Yes, if the Judge decides at the pre-trial that there is enough evidence to continue to trial. Don't look for it anytime soon though. With all the continuances and delays it could be well over a year away.

Your right. The way it is typed, it does give the appearance of strictly a "change of plea hearing". However, I assure you, there is no change of plea and this will be a typical Omnibus hearing, but it probably won't happen on that day.

Omnibus Hearing a) Setting of Omnibus Hearing. (1) If a guilty plea is not entered at the arraignment, the court may, with agreement of the parties, schedule an omnibus hearing. (2) In scheduling an omnibus hearing the court must allow counsel time: (A) to initiate and complete discovery...

What you didn't highlight below everything else on 4/10/15 is the word Omnibus! At an omnibus hearing a defendant is allowed to change his plea if he/she desires. The hearing is not set for a change of plea however. It is set as an Omnibus, meaning it's about the evidence and what will be...

There is no change of plea hearing scheduled. April 10th is an Omnibus hearing. In all likelihood, this will be rescheduled. At the time of arraignment all hearings are assigned according to law. Most hearings are rescheduled to accommodate each side.

I have not and will not give you my opinion or thoughts on this case. I only want to give you what I know as the facts while you are forming your own opinions. I have no desire to sway those opinions.

Melinda knew the guy that was sitting out front, he would call her and tell her he was watching her. I do not know how well he has been investigated by the police. Not sure if there is any connection between that and any of the other incidence. I do not believe SL hid the relationship, "others"...
