NV NV- Lake Mead Recreation Area, Vegas, Melanie White, 27, strangled/blunt force, Aug; '94, dna, suspect - Arthur Lavery, born 7/9/55, (dec;'21), 2024.

Hi - I've got to vent about something. Lt. Jason Johanssen said at the press conference, talking about the Gypsum Wash where Melonie was found, "she had been dragged there from what we believe was a car." This does NOT mean that she was dragged behind a car - and the police report (which I...

    NH NH - Laura Kempton, 23, & Tammy Little, 20, Portsmouth, Sept 1981 & Oct 1982

I would agree - all NH authorities recently refused to speak with me about Laura's case, and it was intimated that they are awaiting something specific - I would wager test results linking the same offender to Tammy.

Great find! I absolutely agree that the "appendicitis" was likely something else! Now what happened to that baby????

I totally agree - and for all we know, Marie could have been raped or taken advantage of, resulting in the early pregnancy.

Can I get your thoughts on the brother's name? I don't want to get it wrong! The old articles call him Raymond, but the recent one cited above (which interviews him) says he is Ramon. Maybe he was Raymond and now prefers Ramon? Anyone know?

Thank you for doing that. The info was all laid out in my podcast episode on the case, which Newark PD assisted with.

I just answered my own question: it was this incident that Fletcher was charged for. I wonder why he was acquitted.

Skully, I'm covering this case for an upcoming podcast episode - I'm planning on calling the detective but wondered whether this could be the 1972 case Fletcher was apparently tried and acquitted for: Tampa Times 2/19/72:

Also, can someone point me to the source for Ruth Ellis reconnecting with her birth mom in 2003? I'd like to include that in my podcast but I need to verify it. TY!

What do we think of this? Could Marian have been going by Mary? Her age (15) would fit for being born in 1932. It comports with what we think about Marian having a baby quite young... although this would rule out giving birth in July '47...

GA GA - Katherine Janness & Dog Bowie Fatally Stabbed - Piedmont Park, Atlanta, 2021 #5

This is a very important question - whether Bowie was on a leash. If a leash was still attached to him, it doesn't mean she didn't drop it and allow him to run ahead, knowing that he would come back when called. I cannot see the killer attacking Katie with Bowie attached to a leash attached to...

Gilgo Beach LISK Serial Killer, Rex Heuermann, charged with 3 murders, July 2023 #2

Is it possible he kept that same truck all these years? They took it away on a flatbed and it looks like the same Avalanche described by the witnesses - that seems a bit sloppy considering all the lengths he went to with the burner phones

Mitochondrial DNA, handed down through the maternal line, is also very hardy and often is usable when autosomal DNA is too degraded.

    DNA Solves Cold Cases/Parabon Nanolabs & GED/Match.

Just to clear this up - I have a whole podcast about this stuff - it is 1000% completely legal and VERY COMMON for the authorities to grab these guys' abandoned items and test them. The abandonment doctrine, upheld in US courts for decades, provides that the police can take ANYTHING you walk...
