Some interesting statistics in this study. (Source: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2589871X23001389#:~:text=The%20next%20two%20frequent%20distances,of%20victim%20transport%20by%20relationship.)

You're right. I have no idea how fire dept proceeds with nearby vehicles. There was one in the back too. We all assumed the truck belonged to the neighbour at 29 Major St. I suspect they may not have wanted him to move it since it might be covered in evidence.

I noticed that House of Friendship location just yesterday. In criminology reading, I learned they will often use a location they are familiar with. Could be anywhere, but that one did cross my mind.

I tried to have an AI program generate a 200 Metre radius around EW's apartment but it came out offcentre as AI is imperfect. But this is an example of how far a perp on foot may have gone to dump a body. IF the crime happened at 25 Major St without using vehicle, and not in another location...

So many good theories from you both. Lots to ponder. Good point about wheeled suitcase or shopping cart possibility -- that is if panicked perp could think straight. We don't know when perp arrived and if he/she used the, say, 7 or so hours (if he arrived after midnight) to calm himself/herself...

Yes, many of us have asked, why not just leave EW in the apartment to burn? EW's phone and dog were left so it makes me think he left either forcefully or thought he was stepping out for just a minute. Criminology research shows that late‑night incidents often don’t follow logical patterns by...

Yes. I read a recent update on a case where the girl had been thrown in the river by the perp and therefore, by the time she was found they could not identify a cause of death. (If I read that correctly.) So you could be right on that. Make it harder for sure to find DNA on the victim and...

Add to the list: • hospitality workers finishing late • people who stayed at a friend’s place • people who missed the last bus • people walking home after a long shift Early morning shifts: • bakeries • grocery stockers • gas stations • long‑term care homes Any...

Just adding a simple speculation in: If someone lives within a few houses, the time of day becomes almost irrelevant — they don’t need to be “out,” they just step outside, creep over to EW's house in the dark . . . may or may not be on someone's door camera depending on the route they take.

Yes, and whether the guest was expected or showed up is another matter. It has been mentioned a guest might have spiked a drink. (speculation) Yes, could be normal human conversation, love making, etc. which no one asks the neighbours if they 'heard' LOL. I'm not clear on your last sentence...

Further to this theory of a fire can be started outside if accelerant is put on the siding, upon further thought by myself, if the intent was to burn dna, fingerprints, devices, evidence, i think the perp would target somewhere inside instead like the bed, couch, where ever his dna (hair, etc)...

Keeping the conversation going regarding two thoughts - 1. Who might have been out at night that might have seen something? (12 midnight to 6 am) 2. What kind of perp just shows up at that time of the morning? Verified that last known wherabouts EW was fine at his apt. midnight the 18th...

I have learned this window shows strong burn patterns. Nothing had to have been thrown through the window or the window smashed if accelerant was place on the outside wall. Also, I think that window would be accessible by anyone walking in from the front as it's not fenced off. There is a...

Yes, this one is pretty far fetched, but I was thinking more like the perp was someone having angry outbursts, and like you say maybe EW reached to call 911, they swing at him or knock him over taking phone which they throw from him. EW passes out in fear. They think they've killed him. I was...

In some multi level homes and rentals, alarms are hardwired on the same circuit so all tenants are alerted. My home is like that and I'd think a rental triplex would be too.

It seems to me EW revealed he's received $500 (or was it $550) in a transperancy statement, and the GofundMe only showed $50 raised, so that's not enough IMO for someone to want that money. Lots of students have funding from somewhere so why pick him?

I also read something about if the perp had a burner, LE can sometimes detect newly activated phones near a crime scene, i.e. in the neighbourhood. If a previously unseen device appears on a cell phone dump only during the incident and never again, it can become suspicious. Carriers keep logs...

I read a lot of interesting information on how investigations are carried out in Ontario, but I cannot find supporting data as methods change as technology changes over time. I'm also not sure every police taskforce uses the same methods. So I'll just put these points in my own words, meaning...
