SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

not as much cain as this cop moving it and placing it conveniently by the dead body-and by convenient, I mean manipulating the evidence to match the story he told on the phone. plus, cops were there and more were coming! people weren't going to be traipsing around, stealing things right after...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

This is why people are leery of coming forward with information. 1st of all, in a situation like this, I'd be scared I'd get murdered by the cop, (he has been charged with murder, so being scared of him is reasonable), and 2ndly, too many people call witnesses liars and accuse them of being...

my step daughter got kicked out of the navy for hitting another female in the back of the head. The navy was completely disgusted with her cowardice and let her have it.

What I heard Slager say on the phone was, 'he grabbed my taser' . If Scott did grab the taser but dropped it before running, why did Slager shoot? and if that black thing was the taser, why did Slager later move it? from what I saw, it looked like there might have been a scuffle over the taser...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

Within the North Charleston Police Department, there was hardly the typical closing of ranks around Slager. "I have watched the video," Police Chief Eddie Driggers said on Wednesday. "And I was sickened by what I saw. And I have not watched it since."

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

I just meant that from what I've read about Scott, he didn't seem like the type of criminal that would warrant a bunch of attention or manpower-even with an 'escape' from arrest thrown into the charges. And imo, considering how small scale his crimes were, he surely didn't deserve to be gunned...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

I almost didn't watch the video for the same reasons, but when I did, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Slager was so close, it almost looked like he could reach out and touch Scott. And to call what that man was doing, 'running', is unfair to the word running. He was lumbering like a dazed...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

well, sorry everyone can't be carbon copy perfect, but they don't deserve to be shot down dead! Not when the cop can easily turn in the name, address etc. and let somebody else go pick him up, if he's scared for his own life. I'd rather some guy's house be surrounded by cops and have him tear...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

I doubt that, because during the course of being shot at 8 times, he would have dropped it out of reflex, or turned around and fired back. moo

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

and after he fired the shots, he looked around... for what, Idk, maybe witnesses? One thing that shocked me and I mean made me sick, was how close he was to Mr. Scott when he fired. Idk why, but I was expecting them to be farther away from each other. And his calmness shocked me. just standing...

good advice, but some people have a natural inclination to panic. I've known people who've hidden in their own homes when cops showed up. And for no reason! just didn't want to deal with them. I've also known people who slipped out the back door instead of facing cops. And I knew one guy who...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

I see 3 main things getting in the way of this cop walking...1. the victim was running and was shot in the back, so there's no argument for the cop fearing for his life, (which is what he claimed). 2. if it is determined that the cop was indeed planting evidence to fit his story, (which will...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

I would guess partly, it's because there are less female cops out there patrolling so the odds just aren't there. I have read about a few female cops in trouble for stuff like this, but they are usually portrayed as kind of jumpy and nervous-like they shouldn't have been a cop in the 1st place...

I don't think people realize how common it is for people to run from cops. They see the cops show up at a party or club, and they scatter. They get pulled over and realize they have a warrant and will go to jail, and boom! they get a trapped feeling and before they even realize they are going...

I've been reading a lot of comments about the what ifs...like, what if Scott had gotten away and taken a hostage or killed somebody? so the cop, worried about all the what ifs, thought shooting this man was a good thing and he was just trying to protect the public. Maybe a jury will buy it. But...

that was chilling. Idk why so many people have a problem believing witnesses in these cases. If not for the video to back up this story, so many people would be calling this witness a liar! moo I've already read so many comments about Scott owing child support, like that somehow justifies him...

SC - Walter Scott, 50, fatally shot by North Charleston PD officer, 4 April 2015 - #1

I've been thinking about something. There was a cop here in my Texas town who resigned-turned in his resignation. The very Next night, he got into a bar argument with a young guy and after closing time, the ex cop shot him multiple times in the parking lot...said he feared for his life. He was...

I'm curious too, but I can't think of one single scenario that would justify what that cop did. And from the little video and few pictures I've seen of the cop since he has been incarcerated, I'm still not seeing any real emotion. I'd expect him to be torn up about killing a man and worried...
