    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

I can't answer that. Maybe they looked at it but realized that they couldn't do anything without a pin or password.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

When all is said and done, it doesn't really matter in the entire scheme of things regarding the trial. It doesn't impact guilt or innocence one iota. But it is interesting that it generated pages of discussion due to the confusion created. And this was just one day.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

Probably so. The expert on the stand testified to that. LE is not equipped to deal with this area of evidence. That's why he goes around doing training. And this is 2011. Imagine had bad it was in 2008 when all of this was even newer to law enforcment.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

The phone in the photographs was definitely not Nancy's phone. It was a demonstration to recreate the steps used by Det. Y when he said the phone was erased. They used a model the same as her's but it was not Nancy's phone in the photos.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

Fair enough. I thought I had missed something.

Now THAT I agree with! :)

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

    Based on what evidence?

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

That's not what I understood from the testimony. I understood that he wiped the phone. Who wiped/destroyed the SIM card is still unexplained.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

I have to disagree with the "little interest in these witnesses" there were four out of how many? In each case the witnesses gave all of their information to the police. In each case they had nothing else to add. In each case they were upset that the police did not follow up. Why? Did they...

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

It has been known since pretty much day one that Det. Y followed procedures provided by AT&T and erased the phone. What is not known is who deleted the SIM card? After today's testimony, that is still not known. IMO

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

Bottom line with the phone expert from my perspective; the defense wanted to present that the CPD intentionally destroyed evidence exculpatory to the defendant. They did not succeed. MOO

    Correct.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-25-11

I find his style to be exactly the same as it was when he was questioning the states witnesses.

    April 22 weekend of Sleuthiness

I can't speak to all of this but there are little pieces of evidence that lead me to believe that she wasn't feeling well while still at the party. She ate something and indicated that she shouldn't be eating it but she did anyway. She kept checking her house to see when all the lights were...

    April 22 weekend of Sleuthiness

According the the real estate agent, she called on Thursday and indicated, "I want out now!" According to many she was in "hate mode" on Friday. She died on Saturday.

No, you are correct. The woman that testified about seeing the two female joggers and then seeing the maroon van the next day has lived on Fielding for a very long time.

    April 22 weekend of Sleuthiness

I can't say that I was for all of it but I do remember part of the discussion. The comments about could have been blue or gray came on the 12th when they were asking what she might have been wearing. The part about the red and black came when he was told that a body had been found. That was...

    April 22 weekend of Sleuthiness

I have had the most unpleasant misfortune to have that very thing happen to me. I was walking back to my dorm room by myself late at night and a man ran up behind me, threw his arm around my neck and began to drag me backwards saying, "You're coming with me". My response, "You have got to be...

    April 22 weekend of Sleuthiness

Oh, absolutely not! I believe they did that to indicate the state of mind of Nancy more than anything. The timing of him denying her the money and the timing of her death is significant. Everyone focuses on something different but for me the statement about what she was wearing, the exact...

Not everyone. I disagree. If they had been able to prove without any doubt that the call was spoofed, this case would be over by now. There would have been no need to call another witness. MOO The states case was not built on proof that the call was spoofed.
