I wasn't trying to upset you, just to bring in more facts. I apologize.

We don't know that it was in her coat pocket, but I'm not sure that matters. With saying that the community was in no extra danger right from the day she was found, it really feels like they've been leaning that way, though. So they may have been mixing emotion in with fact. Pickard was...

I hate to be the one to ask this, but is the kitten that Cheryl got still at her home, alive and well? I haven't been able to sleep and the animal blood is driving me crazy. I'd think if it was cat or dog that investigators would know immediately. If Cheryl's new kitten is missing, and of...

That's still not "empty roads." I really am sorry to be a stickler about it. I believe we were also discussing all of Cheryl's route, and not just 58th, earlier in that line of discussion.

I agree with this fully except...why bother driving nearby to the transit center at all? If she wanted to commit suicide outside of her home, then why not just leave and drive to the place where she was going to do it?

Sharing what Mountlake Terrace police Commander stated today: Investigators will continue to look for answers, Mountlake Terrace Police Cmdr. Doug Hansen said Monday afternoon. “They just don’t know,” Hansen said. “They aren’t able to say how her death...

From what I know of the exit bag, it's supposed to be the gentlest and "least scary" way to commit suicide. I never read of someone using that method while standing in the middle of a small creek so that when they passed out they'd fall into the water. The whole point is supposed to be that...

It would be when someone passes out from lack of oxygen, and then water enters their lungs while they are passed out. This also likely means that whoever found Cheryl has to live with the horror of seeing her like that :(

Pickard didn't say that everyone should be especially cautious, he said that they should use the same common sense, such as parking in well lit areas, paying attention to surroundings, etc., just as he always recommended. When asked if the people of MLT were safe, he said "It's safe." What I...

Do we know that her purse and phone were not found? I have some thoughts on the phone/text/location of the cell phone. The reason that they know that her device sent the text messages from the area of the park is based on cell tower triangulation. This is approximate, though - which is why...

RSBM I had asked Stryker about the book, but either he didn't see my question here on the forum or didn't respond yet. I was curious if it was - for certain - hers. This made me laugh...before my father in law passed away, when he came to visit and we were going for a drive he muttered...

No, the streets are never empty in MLT, and during that commuting time they are actually quite busy. IMO she was engaged on the sidewalk next to her car on the right side of the street which is not near a streetlight. And quickly. IMO she was placed into a vehicle that she wasn't familiar...

rsbm With the point being that there could have been a security camera at a mosque, I imagine that there would be many security cameras that simply did not pick up traffic, as each camera is expensive and aimed at the most vulnerable locations on a property, such as the back doors and windows...

It would be very interesting to see if the vehicle shown in that first link can be seen on the video surveillance on that day that Cheryl disappeared.

That's exactly my belief as that's what happens in every incidence, statistically speaking. And for the reason you stated - they just want easy money from an easy target, they don't want a dead person to "deal with." And if they are fiending for a fix SO bad that they're willing to come up to...
