Just to add to my previous post, perhaps it is/ was this need to fulfill this desire to see these images over and over again that ultimately in the end will be just one of the puzzle pieces used to put the sick away for good.

My instincts are pulling me in this direction as well. He just seems like the type that would derive some sick satisfaction out of seeing what he did as well as what was done to him. Even though these pics are alleged I am leaning to them existing. Sorry to say.
