I am guessing he perhaps finds a few million dollars a small price to pay compared to potentially having to drop out of the race by perjuring himself and getting into even more legal trouble.

IMO, he'd do well to offer a defense, as E. Jean Carroll comes across as genuine. If the submitting of his DNA will clear him and vindicate him, why would he not give it..... No crying foul later, should he get convicted !
