Yeah, I looked & looked but couldn't find anything official. It seems no one got the update. I'd personally been watching the FB page of their caregiver.
@JerseyGirl - I have reason to believe the girls have been found and are at home again, but it is not from an official news' source, it is via Facebook. What should I do?
Just read an article with Abby Patterson's mom (NC - NC - Abby Patterson, 20, Lumberton, 5 Sept 2017) talking about Hania and empathizing with her mom ❤ Pain and heartbreak no one should have to experience :(
Lumberton woman knows first hand the pain of an abducted child’s mother
(Side note...
It just seems SO weird to me! Especially calling the person a "PR consultant," assuming it's what dad/parents called her...
I'd just say she was a friend helping us as we're overwhelmed with everything right now o_O
This is interesting... and strange. Has anyone else done this before during a case?
(Does it come from wealth?)
- Mountain Lakes runaway believed to be 'safe,' spotted in Camden
Still very concerned with this very young looking missing 15 year old.
Well, I read all of the rest of this thread but like everyone else don't feel anymore ahead. I was hoping maybe there were were more details I missed but nada... So sad and concerning... And definitely not looking good with all the time that has passed... :(
Anyone fluent in Spanish? Mine is terribly rusty... Found 2 news' clips about this in Spanish with interview pieces, including with her aunt :(
Here are the links, not allowing me to embed them...
#1 - 40 Noticias: Jorge Macias
#2 - Telemundo en Charlotte: Sylvia Oben
I saw this as well and wondered... But then was also concerned as there was no mention of anyone else with him... unless she was restrained elsewhere until he got a "new" vehicle....
Here's a short clip on a Fox News' FB page of Hania's younger sister talking about what happened: FOX 46 Charlotte
It sounds like she may have been the witness or at least one of them... :(
Saw this mentioned in Hania's thread. Unbelievable :( And at 3:15 in the afternoon in broad daylight?!?
If I'm looking in the right place, it appears that they live in an apartment/townhouse complex with common dumpsters for each u-shaped grouping of apartments... A couple of which are right...
I would have thought so. You're in NC and didn't get it? That's really weird if so because both hubby & I got it in eastern PA today at 10:30am; I even got it on 2 devices.
Amber Alert: Tip line set up for abducted Lumberton 13-year-old
Mother mentioned now and family member, Maria Bonilla - her aunt? Prayers for them all!
Yeah, it is confusing. Says it's her aunt's car though it's registered to a person in SC. Nothing's been said about her parents so far, though the lot #'s given for where the abduction occurred and the lot # for where it said the victim lived were different.
Just want to point out that per victim's ID, her middle name is spelled incorrectly in the title of this thread & in this initial post. May be why it is difficult to find for some? Not sure how to let an admin know.
Also, this article confirms that she was abducted between 2 lots but that they were different from the lot where she lived:
AMBER ALERT: Lumberton teen forced into stolen SUV, kidnapped from neighborhood
After looking at where she was taken using Google street view, I HIGHLY doubt this was just random or an abduction of chance! It's very off road and secluded. I'm leaning towards known abductor or someone living nearby in the mobile home park who's been watching & knew when to strike.
