Australia Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #11

I'm not from Perth, so tell me if I'm wrong here, but it seems to me that BRE earned above average income but bought and lived in below average properties. Also been divorced twice. We know that money is something that couples fight about. I reckon in due course we'll learn more about this. All...

MM is mystery man (as dubbed by police) from the CCTV footage which was first shown on the CIA doco. He's the only guy in the video not IDed by police. He's significant because he was interacting with Jane Rimmer moments before she disappeared. We STILL don't know who MM is! CG is usually...

Thanks for response. Wow I had NFI it was that simple to hide online. God only knows what he was looking at online. Yuck.

Mate I really appreciate this, but unfortunately don't know how to interpret it. I'm just interested in how confident he'd have been of remaining anonymous online. I'm interested because I'm just loosely theorising that his online behaviours may have functioned as a kind of substitute for...

Cast your mind back to the photos of the coppers taking away BREs computer equipment after his arrest. Does anyone know anything about the type of equipment seen in the photos? Was it sophisticated? I am wondering about the life he led online and what steps he took to hide his identity.

Yeah I'm not sure that anything too useful can come from over-analysing either the style of JRs bag or the 'Eagles Nest' FB comment. Anyway I'm totally hooked on this thread & will be until I return to work, so carry on 😀 PS That's not to say that I won't keep reading when I'm back at...

Regardless of whether MM is the CSK, he was clearly one of the final people to interact with JR. He had her attention. So why did LE keep it to themselves? There was obviously a strategy in play... I'm quite convinced there's more to this footage than we realise.

People seem to be talking about Droc in the past tense..... What did I miss?

I agree that strangulation is likely, but just wonder why one publication states it as fact when others don't.

This article says that CG was strangled. Was this info ever publicly released by police? If not, I wonder if the journo has a source or is simply connecting the dots for themselves and passing it off as fact?

Really interesting discussions and sleuthing going on here, we'll done to those involved. Just very quickly wanted to mention I've been going through the Central Crocs newsletters and Facebook page (perhaps not official FB page, but effectively so I suppose). Just wanted to add that the...

Anything is possible. I thought the video of MM showed enough of him that if he was someone's son or partner, they might have recognised him. I imagine that by the time the police DID show the footage, there were different detectives/minds on the job, who wanted to do things differently...

Well I suppose that after a decade or so of sitting on it, & getting nowhere, they thought they may as well roll the dice and show the footage. You can bet at least one of them back in the day wanted to show it but was overruled.

Keep in mind that the coppers took 10 years (or something like that. 12 maybe?) to share the footage in the first place! Obviously someone was of the opinion that showing his face / more of the footage wouldn't help their case. My view, or theory/hypothesis is that they felt very strongly that...

Absolutely. When this nonsense is perpetuated by LE, it helps reinforce (for idiots anyway) that they can treat certain people like garbage and they'll either get away with it completely, or face a less serious consequence if caught. Police need to pull their heads in. Great find with the...

Well said. The worst of these cases that stick out in my mind is Bung Siriboon, a then-13 year old who went missing whilst walking to school in an un-fashionable outer suburb of Melbourne more than 5 years ago. Her 'mistake', I believe, was not being white and/or attending a private school...

Someone the other day mentioned an ignore button... I can't find it. Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

Yeah a blitz or a 'clever' ruse to get the girls into the car quietly, quickly & willingly seems most likely.
