Can't hit 'thanks' enough times for that ! SM passes misinformation and rumors around as if it's fact, with zero consideration for the investigation (and for innocent bystanders). I don't think the sheriff is talking about a plot twist. But that's just my opinion (based on listening to the entire interview). :deadhorse:

I'd guess the point he was making is that the brutal murders of two teens is something new compared to seniors being murdered by their grandchildren. I'm not sure where you're reading anything else into it. JMO

Again, these are words out of context. Was he not just talking about seniors being murdered by grandchildren? You've only posted one part of a larger statement he was making. Or am I missing your point? Sorry, I just like to stick to the intended meaning of something. Just the facts. JMO

Just a note: IMO, he (the Sheriff) didn't say "there's a twist in the case ." That takes his statement completely out of context. He's saying it's a "twist" compared to murders they've dealt with in the past IMO. Am I alone in believing that? Maybe I'm missing something, but I really don't...

It's just a saying, IMO, to convey optimism. In my opinion, it's dangerous to read too much into every word. Not saying my fingers aren't crossed, too, but I think it's just a saying.

That Sheriff is very patient and professional! I think "twist" was an unfortunate word choice, because now people are going to read a lot of things into it as if it's a movie plot twist, whereas he's probably just saying it's something they haven't dealt with before. IMO, this isn't a movie or...

I was thinking along the same exact lines as you...that the two BG pictures were caught in the background of video or pictures and that the audio recording was from a different recording. But it's all just speculation. I also wonder if there might have been someone closer to Libby (and her...

IMO, BG may not have been the main subject of the picture. The low quality suggests to me BG was a ways of in the background, which would explain the low quality. So maybe Abbie was closer in the picture. Total guess, but that was what popped into my head the first time I saw the BG photo back...

I feel the same. I figure the best we can do, until more info comes available, is work to filter out the bad info and try to separate fact from speculation and fantasy. I'm thankful that WS is blocking references to the irresponsible junk from various blogs. That stuff creates rumors that some...

I can't believe someone would just go stomping onto private property, and she's obviously aware she's doing just that, judging from her reaction upon seeing the police arrive. It's very eerie to hear that same crackling noise (twigs and leaves) as in the 'down the hill' audio sample that LE...

My guess is that there are procedures which must be followed and then someone from the family would be needed to make the ID. Sorry if I'm missing you're meaning!

Just an FYI about that technology....from my understanding, it can't improve a pixelated or scrambled picture, but what it does is compare and match to pictures that are presented to it. The example I saw used a pixelated picture of one of the Boston Marathon bombers. The machine was presented a...

I've been working with PhotoShop and various types of compressed/uncompressed photos for going on 20 years now and my opinion is that his hands are in his pockets and what you're seeing are compression artifacts. Your photo actually looks more compressed than earlier ones I've seen and the...

Wow, just...wow. So sad and shocked, even though we already suspected as much. Those poor girls and their poor families. This is why we are all here.

He was there to document the scene. My guess is that the searchers already knew about the clothes (it was a searcher that found the body) so chances are he already knew what he was taking pictures of. Hope that makes sense.

I'm not being argumentative, but just want to point out another perspective on this: maybe LE have their hands full most of the time and can't direct 100% of resources to every missing person all of the time. In other words, it's a heck of a lot easier to criticize actions after the fact IMO and...

I was only thinking they were posing as authority figures because otherwise they may have yelled/made noise or tried to run away. So then, if they were grabbed as you say, the BG must've had a weapon to threaten them so they wouldn't make noise? That sure looks like a weapon in his pocket...
