AS is scrambling for reporters to talk to him, running down his list and getting no replies resorting to comments on YouTube. His lawyer looked uncomfortable to be in the same room as him (link posted earlier). She will have to either streamline whatever it is she has been retained for in order...
With the video stating they will kill themselves, if BS described that KM will do BS and then himself it could have been simply stated in the report that they carried through with their suicide pact (KM shooting BS) as stated/described in the video.
I do think this will be a sticky point for a...
It’s seems the pattern of their hunts was at night but I had always pictured it to be a different takedown with LD. For some reason I assumed it was during the daylight that he was killed. So I imagined it as LD being deep in the woods near a creek or pond doing research with his truck on the...
I have never watched and quite often I am the only one in the room who has no idea what is being talked about. GOT fans are die hard and I think that’s cool.
For me it’s just too late just too much to catch up on. Although I did tell my son that when he is old enough to watch it I will join him.
That makes more sense. I thought I had read or found some sort of connection to the Yukon with Kam’s family but I have yet to find that again.
Reporters are quick to correct errors if they are contacted about it.
I think the stats say that of family business only about 30% last a second generation. But I do understand what you say about having no interest in the family business. It sure is nice to have perks of cash flow though if it is doing well and the kids are part of profit sharing.
I’m not sure...
Not only that he said he never gave his son a real gun. I guess he meant to say “except for hunting”. But not ever had he mentioned hunting in interviews.
SBM:
“But before Manitoba, after they killed Deese and Fowler and before killing Dyck, the two did in fact cross the border into the Yukon...
I’m totally the opposite about KM working with dad. He most likely started out at as a young boy on those boats and participated in excursions that were safer than others as he got older. The line of work may not have had something he could be involved in without experience and worksafe rules...
If their end game was legit to hijack a ship maybe they did plan ahead. Most likely Kam had access to some quality wet gear from his home or dad’s business.
I guess there is a rationale to their decisions but considering the attempt on the guy at Haines Junction maybe he would have come forward sooner and also it could have reached more people to be on alert and could have led to their capture sooner.
According to the tweet these images were supplied to media but they did not publish (not sure the date they were supplied) because police would not verify their authenticity.
Sounds like the Haines Junction attempt was also not published for the same reason.
So reporters are aware and...
I wonder where the airsoft gun ended up.
I wonder if the neighbour had any wartime stories or vintage guns.
ETA.
Airsoft comment was not meant for this post :)
So it was traceable because it was able to be reported stolen at one time. I looked at Wiki for the Danforth and the killers’ brother had loads of stolen guns so that is the assumption of where the shooter got it from and the history traces it to Saskatchewan.
Wishful thinking they get a lead...
Maybe now that the detail of this gun is public it will prompt someone to realize theirs is missing. Maybe someone who wouldn’t have realized a connection,
like a nearby neighbour.
Hopefully some of these details in the report can generate a few more leads and tie up loose ends.
I’ve seen it in a few articles. Just google “Schmegelsky shot in the back of the head”.
I assume AS’s lawyer was present for AS’s debrief:
“In an interview Friday afternoon, Al Schmegelsky’s lawyer, Sarah Leamon, said her client sat down with two RCMP officers before the information was made...
