Just want to say a few things about the truck in the neighbourhood because I just watched the video where LE ask for public assistance in identifying it. They do not know if the truck was at the sale, from that I assume the CCTV footage doesn't really show anything around the house, therefore...

Some might be interested to know that at the LE presser on 2 july, a reporter asked something (inaudible) about Panama. Det. Andrus replies that they have a home in mexico and "I don't know the relevance of Panama." here's the link (I think) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhkGV7BYpms

I have a link where Kevin Brookwell says in response to a question about any indication of a meth lab that they have found "a quantity of chemicals that are dangerous and flamable". He says they may be part of normal farm operations or not, they weren't going to say...

This has been quite thoroughly discussed several times, along with other methods of HR disposal.

My heart broke a little listening to the second LE pressser (on July 2) when H. Det. Andrus says "I am confident we will find the family members and we are hoping we'll find them alive."

I just watched the CPS update from 4 July https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4g3rlvtTBo&list=UUfoP1GiuXF9aMybI8R8OYcQ&index=11 I paid close attention to a couple of things, one being the truck. Andrus says it was "seen several times over the course of the night (later he said evening, but he...

Perhaps DG didn't know there were cameras at the dump. Just liked he seemed not to know about neighbourhood CCTV. Also, he might have been panicked regarding the unexpected presence of NO and just doing whatever seemed right in the moment. Maybe he didn't think about dumpsters 100 miles away...

I am finding slightly different reports about the recent identity theft issues in different MSM. I'd like to go back and see what LE said at the time they arrested him on this charge.

Stolen, or just a card that belongs to somebody else. I think that is an interesting little detail. Rhetorically I ask, could the card belong to a member of the L family? Is it something he took from the L home and that is what makes it stolen?

Do we know for sure the name on the identification? Also, are we sure there was a credit card?

Does this really matter to you. He's an adult. They are in their 80s. Whose going to be making statements to the media about the accused or the parent's of the accused? The parents appear to be stable members of the community having lived there for 40 years.

It would be in his best interest to be talking to his lawyer. How many defenses are there: self-defense (not reasonable in this case), reasonable doubt by attacking the evidence (possible) or by blaming someone else(I suppose it is possible), or claiming not criminally responsible on account of...

I totally agree with you. However, I think this means that the province will be paying the defense. Perhaps this is reasonable if we consider everyone innocent until proven guilty and entitled to a defense even if that person is indigent.

I don't believe that. I think if he told police a credible sounding (as opposed to an incredulous) story, I think the police would take it seriously and do whatever was necessary to prove/disprove it. This is a very high profile case and if they don't get it right their reputation will be in...

If there was an accomplice, don't you think that DG would have given him/her up to the police--maybe try to blame the accomplice for the planning and get his charges reduced?

They might do so because they feel obligated to avoid creating any further expenses for the province that their son (allegedly) has done. How many police officers searched for how many days? But I do not think, based on the Willy Picton case, that they will be compelled to become impoverished...
